Don't even say that
Google SAS rescue missions and read what comes up
The SAS are the most elite armed force in the world constantly ranked higher than the US navy seals.
No mind them o. Even the elite Israeli commando unit was based the SAS model. Don't mind this uninformed nairalanders.

Wow! What an uninformed statement. The British SAS is one of the most elite special teams in the world. Even the Israeli elite commando units are based on the SAS and here you are talking nonsense. Why don't you go to your nearest bookstore and pick up a book on the SAS before making such an misinformed statement.

Go read books like The One that got away by Chris Ryan or Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab and inform yourself.
Compared to the Nigerian army which has rescued 10,000 hostages?

Is it because we don't have a book i can direct you to go read?

What are the figures of British freed hostages, let us compare it to Nigeria?

It's easy google it. The Nigerian army releases photos and figures of hostages released on a regular basis.

My estimated 10,000 figure comes statements and photos released by the army, they are not made up.

Follow the Nigerian army on facebook, twitter or just google for yourself.

Yeah, I believe an extremely corrupt organization that steals funds for weapons and sells weapons to make money to give me actual credible figures.

Pray, do tell me one of those so called hostage situations you are talking about. Not one from.there propaganda on Facebook.

I'll have to leave at this since you obviously have a grudge against the military and are unwilling to keep an open mind.

However I can assure you that as a person who has been commenting on military related topics for a number of years, I know very well what I'm talking about . They aren't mere assumptions.

On corruption, it is institutionalised in militaries in the west. However in the future, try keep an open mind.

All I need to know about the operational capabilities of the Nigerian is that in there push against Boko Haram they needed South African mercenaries.

To make matters worse, I saw there horrendous human rights abuses against people in the North where they committed insane atrocities against civilians in there pursuit of Boko Haram. It was horrendous and to make matters worse they even denied it and you want me to believe what they say on some Facebook page?

Let me correct an impression. At the height of coalition deployment in Iraq, 55% of all US combat deployed troops were mercenaries. This means that there were more mercenaries in Iraq than there were actual US soldiers at the height of the US invasion of Iraq.

The French government has gone further and institutionalised it. They have a fully functional mercenary army, the French Foreign Legion.

I don't see you crimalising them? So can you tell me what we have done wrong?

Human Rights abuses occur in conflict, we are not immune to it, however the Nigerian army consistently prosecute those individuals found guilty in a court martial of human rights abuses. There is enough evidence to back this up.

Do western troops not commit human rights abuses, is this what you want to tell me?

Like I said earlier, show me the receipts.
All I hear from you are opinions not facts.

Secondly, the French foreign legion is a French Army not mercenaries. Yes there enlistees are not always French but make no mistake they still an arm of the French military. Big difference from employing old South African soldiers from the 1980's to come and help you fight an enemy on your home soil.

During the Iraq war, private defense contractors providing security and support outnumbered troops on the ground at points. Contractors can enhance US military capacity but also entail risks. US experience with private security contractors holds several key lessons.

You said "at the height of the coalition" that mercenaries were a majority of the boots on the ground not at some points so stop shifting the goalposts because that's a big lie bruh.

Besides, a lot of this private contractors where American soldiers who were looking to make a quick buck after leaving the army.

By 2008, the US Department of Defense employed 155,826 private contractors in Iraq – and 152,275 troops.

I did and like I said the sources were all coming from an organization known for brutal atrocities and lack of respect for human beings and transparency so stop making up numbers in your head and no!!!! evacuation is not the same thing as "rescue".

In the last days when it had become clear that some components of the Nigerian military intentionally didn't want to engage the enemy so just 100 South African mercenaries were brought in and they delivered devasting damage to Boko Haram in 9 weeks which saw the group retreat time Jonathan lost the election and somehow the same components of the Nigerian Army suddenly started fighting well again ..
You know this.
