My ps3 just developed an issue.

Once I press the power button, the color changes from red to green and last for about 7 seconds before the power light completely goes off.
On pressing the power button again, the red light comes on, then when I press it again, it turns to green and still lasts for another 7 seconds before everything goes off again.

I have tried this several times and the power keeps going off.

Please, who has experienced the kind of fault on his console before(It's a fat ps3, I can't remember HD size)?

I would so much appreciate your kind suggestions.

well same thing happened to my console as well. Though mine normally goes off randomly at the middle of a game, as time goes by it started showing the yellow light and never comes up again (beeps 3x). Well ain't saying this to scare you. Chill someone might have a different opinion or fix to it.

Lol! I am not scared. I just hope to get a solution or the contact of someone that can fix it.

So, did you pack up your console or did you fix it?

I packed it and got another console which I'm enjoying till date.

Have you tried cleaning it for a change
When was the last time you cleaned it.
Do this and see

The console is for my little cousin, I dont think it has been cleaned since 2013.
