There. Fixed.

To answer your question, you'd have to ask Ikpeazu why he's targeting N2.5-billion (from barely 1-billion and less previously) and not N20-billion. undecided Perhaps the Oyo state government is just more ambitious that's all. Just saying. undecided
He targeted 2.5 billion from 1+ billion after discovering a source of revenue in his state that had not been credited to the state treasury and calculated based on the actual additional revenue it will bring. Oyo is targeting 9 billion from 1+ based on merely being ambitious. OK

Gosh Dude, shut the fvck up and learn to comprehend. Perhaps if you had read the news report in the link I attached, you would've seen that the Oyo state government mentioned how it intends to increase the IGR to meet its target. (here's the link once again, if you're not too lazy maybe you'll read it this time around).

http://punchng.com/oyo-targets-n107bn-igr-finance-2017-budget/
Presently, the state makes N1.5bn from IGR monthly, which amounts to N18bn annually. But Adekanmi said the amount would multiply in multiple folds after the state government realised areas where revenues were being lost over the years.
“The state government is determined to block financial leakages and review its revenue drive. Lots of revenue can be generated from IGR if properly designed and pursued but we also need the cooperation of the people, which we are sure of getting. The informal sector has suddenly realised that it can help finance the budget and drive the state economy with little contribution from the members. This will amount to huge fund because the sector has large population, more than the formal sector.

“The projection of government is to realise N40bn from the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development while the Health Insurance Scheme will generate more than N8bn. These are just two of the top 20 revenue generating ministries, departments and agencies of government.”

Meanwhile, Abia has already realized theirs before targeting while oyo is targeting based on "if", see the difference??by the way Oyo IGR is 15bn not 18bn. I even love the way you curse out of frustration. It is your duty to present all possible information to defend your bogus claim, not mine

Gosh! This is why I hate dealing with ret..ards. You didn't read the report again did you? Why must y'all reduce virtually everything into a stvpid dick measuring contest? Oyo state has the largest landmass in the entire Southern Nigeria and generates BILLIONS via its Ministry of Lands alone, which hitherto was corruptly siphoned by civil servants. Here again is the breakdown since you're obviously too lazy to read:

“The projection of government is to realise N40bn from the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development while the Health Insurance Scheme will generate more than N8bn. These are just two of the top 20 revenue generating ministries, departments and agencies of government.”

This has already gone into effect since the budget was last presented so I don't understand what you're talking about Abia having already realized its target (like I give a funk anyway). Whether Ikpeazu is able to collect up to N2.5-billion in IGR by December is really not my cup of tea and even if he does then more power to him. If Oyo can just hit N40-N50-billion IGR I'll be straight, that's what matters to me. Personally, I don't give a fvck about y'all.

I can see I'm dealing with a completely steupid fellow. Did you hear me bother to critique the feasibility of Ikpeazu's projections? Whether he starts collecting 2.5-billion by December really doesn't add nor subtract a single penny from my bank account. In other words, I don't give a flipping fvck, Negro undecided

Now, why you on the other hand are beefing Oyo for simply doing the exact same thing Abia just did -- make a projection -- defies sound and basic logic. You gat mad issues dude. Real talk.

I have no problem with the projections. Anybody can even project 100 trillion per day. Feasibility of any projections being subjected to criticism is not a crime. Lol, still enjoying your childish curses

Dude you need to quit exposing your ignorance all over the place, o.k? Oyo state has YET TO RELEASE it's total IGR figures for 2016 so quit touting the 2015 numbers.

Wait till next month (April) for the NBS release of the complete report. Oh, so you're that guy that was ready to fight me over whether Anambra is more populated than River huh? How many monikers do you use on this forum? For real, how many? This has to be the fifth time I'm encountering you with a different moniker. Well, shebi dem go conduct census next year? Ehn.. wait till then to get the correct answer (though I already know what the outcome'll be). In anycase, just prepare to eat crow.

hmmm, see as you mellow down small. Good you are now growing up. why should we use NBS data in April and wait till another census on the population thing?? well, we shall see by next census. Meanwhile there is something wrong with your incomplete IGR report. The data for Abia, Anambra, Oyo, Rivers, Ebonyi and many others are exactly the same figure as their 2015 figure, which means no data at all for 2016 for those states, You are using a data without any figure for Oyo to substantiate your claim on Oyo.

2.5 billion a year ?

Ogun and oyo respectively without oil are generating more than that in 3months
You should be more concerned about what they do with these huge funds they generate. What exactly is on ground to reflect the huge amount you're talking about?

Look here Mr., you're supposed to be smarter than this. Apply simple common sense boy, common sense. That IGR data was for the first half (6-months) of 2016. You will notice that states that are yet to submit theirs were either left blank or left with the exact IGR data from the previous year (2015). Ebonyi for instance has even refused to release its IGR figures for the past 2-years self and no one is asking questions. You are the one that accused the Oyo state government of lying by using its 2015 IGR numbers which prompted me to correct you coz until you have the 2016 data (which was unavailable in the last released report) you can't logically contest the veracity of the state government's claims -- certainly not by touting an outdated 2015 figure. Learn to accept simple correction and move on.

[quote author=RockHard post=54413822]Anu how many of the industries in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo are owned by Yorubas huh 95% of the industries are owned by other tribes Igbos, Hausa/Fulani, Lebanies, Indians and Chines etc Your state governments doesn't think twice taxing them because they are not indigenes, your states governments make more money while the indigenes languish in penury, in southeast trade, commerce and industries are controlled by Igbos, their states governments find it hard to tax her people, that is why they record low IGR, while the citizens make money, You guys open threads every week to celebrate Dangote INVESTMENTS in southwest when are you going to celebrate your own huh huh

Can you give me good reasons why states in southeast are leading southwest except Lagos in bank transactions for the last five years huh And please remember that NBS says bank credit/deposit in each state may be used as an indicator of the level of activity and well being of operators (households and businesses) in a particular state as it shows what residents are borrowing and the amount deposit in banks
