You guys give airmark too much popularity here, learn to ignore him, he guy is a hater, he cud not sleep last night, and still lives in disbelief that it happened, they will shout ref, etc
,..he will spend the whole of this week on this barca thread trying to show us how Busquest is overhyped or how, barca "robbed" psg from "4 foookcing goals down" i dont know which kind of robbery that is, but for sure , you will need more than ref and UEFA too pull off such stunts.

a match fixing thread is already on frontpage, the hate for barca is real. when barca lost 4-0- to a very bad psg team, no one opened match fixing threads and moved to frontpage, but cause barca won, people are crying their heart out

its fun seeing haterz cry , hope they cry more
The greater portion of the blame goes to the cules on this thread. When one has repeatedly proven to be an idiøt who is incapable of having a logical argument, it behoves the other party involved to do all that is necessary to avoid such a person. Ostracism is the most efficient counteract to foolishness.

Sadly, many cules [on this thread] would continue, rather unwittingly, to waste time by bandying words with these lowdown haters who cannot be objective if their plague-tormented lives depended upon it.

Airwânk is at least a thousand and one intellectual stations beneath a wall gecko; the indiscriminate aversion he has for Barça – combined with an abysmally low IQ – is why nothing good should never be expected from the moth-eaten depths of his bland and boring imagination, especially in arguments centred around Barça. Little wonder the apogee of his miserable existence happens to be the day he was made a moderator on Nairaland.

Emøbitch on the other hand represents everything no parents wishes his/her child to be. If since 2015 I were to have earned a dollar for every time he uttered something inane, I would by now have more than enough to settle the national debts and also buy half of Mexico.

We, cules, are the cause of it all. If anyone here doesn't feel obliged to proffer a response to every one of their comments, eventually they'd grow weary of trolling and this thread would cease to be a stranger to serenity.

Its Baffling how you all are praising Umtiti for His Performance in the Matvh.. You need to watch the match again and see How Outstanding Mascherano was..Not even a single mistake, He won every ball, every tackle..He was Simply Put-The Boss-
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Nobody:
Més que un club!

To begin in medias res, I would like to express a milion heartfelt apologies to the greatest team in the world – currently and in all-time footballing history –, FC. Barça! To the highly esteemed and eternally faithful fans of La Blaugrana; to the players who persevered through hot hell and high water to confound expectations; and to Luis Enrique I say, “I apologise for my lack of faith”.

To lose faith is one thing, but to lose faith when it matters the most is a horse of a different color, a betrayal of some sort.
Many a cule would recall with eidetic vividness when I, in the wake of the infamous Valentine-affair-gone-awry at the Parc Des Princes, wrote the entire team off with an irrevocable certitude that brooked no debate.

While I was strongly convinced a drubbing of the French men was inevitable at the Nou Camp – especially after bearing first-hand witness to the fireworks generated in our weekend game against Celta De Vigo –, a class-five hurricane nonetheless reared its head in the tentative halls of my mental auditoriums, usurping á la mode coup d'état any and every thought that suggested even remotely that a Barça comeback could be in the offing.

I doubted the possibility of a comeback! I doubted in – as the Spaniards had put it – a Remontada! Like the hard-boiled, over-analytical realist that I am, I elected prior to the 2nd-leg showdown to have myself cocooned in the safe arms of cold logic, which not only repudiates belief in the Divine – that miracles indeed do happen; but also allows for no optimism in the face of overwhelmingly, all-consuming odds.

In keeping faithful to the demands of hard logic, I underplayed the power of the spirit of resilience. The same indefatigable spirit that inspired the dramatic comeback of Deportivo La Coruna in 2004 after a first-leg 4-1 outing at the San Siro. The same spirit that buoyed Liverpool FC. to cancel out a 3-goal lead in the UCL final against AC. Milan. And only recently, the same admirable spirit that fuelled the drastic comeback of the New England Patriots at the Super Bowl.

[...]

When before the 3rd minute Suarez found the back of the net, I actually started to believe we could pull off the impossible. Then came in Iniesta to administer his own dosage of fine genius. The nature of the first two goals assured me that we were willing to go for broke, and that little importance was attached to the manner in which the goals were scored, and that to me was a harbinger of good fortunes! We were willing to get our hands dirty! And that exactly is the sort of tiki-taka I have been harping on and on about in these past few weeks – a more direct, high-octane, and quick-paced version of tiki-taka.

When Messi found the net from the penalty spot, the thermostat in the room could be seen ascending to a temperature of high, feverish hope. You could literally see, feel, and taste the ectoplasm of hope and belief emanating in form of mesmeric rainbows from the overwrought sweatpores of every cule after Messi's goal.

Even when Cavani's firecracker sucked the air out of Barça's balloons, I remained unwavering, insisting fervently to a fellow cule that it wasn't over just yet.

The haters caused a lot of furore in the viewing centre where I chose to watch the game, deafening chants of derision shook the foundations of the room, and I suspected the building would have caved in had Marc-Andre ter Stegen not denied Cavani's one-on-one chance with such breathless sangfroid.

While many had given up as the game stretched into the 87th minute and Barça's gusto appeared to have nearly fizzled out, the young Brazilian never stopped dreaming... never stopped believing. Soon, in the 88th minute he curled a brilliant freekick past Trapp from the most unlikely position.
Then Marquinhos fouled Suarez almost immediately after that. Then Neymar scored again! Then a wave of the indescribable rippled through the Nou Camp, with cules all over the world just a hair-breadth away from suffering a major heart attack.

Who knew Neymar's 95th minute touch of the ball would be that Big Bang that leads to the creation of a universe of sheer ecstacy? Who could have guessed that Sergio Roberto – the most unlikliest candidate – would with his “Swan lake leap” assume the role of the last-minute saboteur and deliver to us that much needed clutch-play? Who could have predicted that within the space of 8 minutes PSG would watch ruefully as their joy turns into a pillar of salt? Some questions I suppose are best left unanswered.

[...]

If Neymar continues in this fine form up to the end of the season, then he most certainly deserves the Balon d'or more than any other player.

In the words of Sir Alex Ferguson, “Football... Bloody hell!”

Wednesday 1 March:
Camp Nou
FC Barcelona 5
Sporting 0

Saturday 3 March
Camp Nou
FC Barcelona 6
Celta Vigo 1

The two games above gave me little hope for the miracle of last night. I started believing that if any of the two score lines above, at Nou Camp, is repeated, then we would have made history. Lo and behold:

Wednesday 8 March
FC Barcelona 6
PSG 1

I salute all our players and the coaching crew. They won all our last three games by 5 goals (net).
Celts Vigo 5-0, Gijon 6-1

It's lines like this that make people come here to troll you lots, no disrespect to Barcelona for the awesome performance but to me, the feat by Deportivo La corona and that night in Istanbul where Liverpool defied the odds is greater than what Barcelona did.
Ac Milan on the both occasions they lost after being in a strong position were the better side with better players so, it makes the effort of Deportivo and Liverpool greater cos they were clearly average teams when compared to Milan all over the pitch. The case with Barcelona was having a great team fail to turn up in the first leg and in the second leg, playing to their true potential to edge out PSG. In truth, with MSN, anything, I repeat, anything is possible. And yes, other teams will rather have Barca produce magical nights like wednesday and end up failing to win the trophy, that performance for all its greatness can't compare to winning the Champions league.
FYI, I'm no hater...

The only wrong decision in the match was the second penalty call, Suarez misled the referee, remember Suarez has earlier been booked for diving, we all thought the referees call was right until we watched the replay. looking away from that decision, the referee officiating was fair. He didn't obstruct d'maria or cavani from scoring and he was not the one that scored the remaining 5goals for Barcelona..

Quite typical of a deluded megalomaniac who believes the earth revolves around him. Such delusions of granduer.

You have quoted me without cause for at least 5 times in 3 days (today included). Sounds a lot to me like you are in desperate need of my attention.

Take your petty talks to those willing to trade words with you, for I do not in the least deign you worthy of my time. Goodbye, and do refrain from mentioning this monicker in the future.

Neymar deserves it more. I wish we could revert back to the good old days when the number of goals scored by a player did not determine whether he wins the balon d'or or not.

One memorable performance from Neymar and he deserves it more?

Messi has been rescuing us since the start of the season and keeping us alive in LaLiga.

LOL. grin

Seems Messi literally has to do something extra ordinary every match day to keep his Best in the world tag.

But others need just one memorable performance.

Calm Down. grin

I don't even consider that a wrong call. they could be sentimental and call it a soft penalty. But when an attacker has only the keeper to beat and a defender makes a contact no matter how soft, it's a penalty. And no one blames the attacker for falling. Only an attacker as holy as the pope wouldn't fall when you need to qualify. The question is; did the defender make contact with Suarez one on one with the keeper?

"After we conceded the goal, Ter Stegen started screaming: 'We never die, we are Barcelona!'" - Javier Mascherano

"He continued screaming: 'We will win. We will win!' At one point I told Busquets that Ter Stegen wasn't okay." - Mascherano.

Why this two faced fan not praising Enrique's tactical genius but Neymar won the match is all they talk about, oh I remember, he's not rated cos he failed before becoming a Barca coach. Sergio Roberto who was sub in by the coach won the game.

when I saw him playing with the boys in the midfield, I also asked if he was okay as any sudden break could lead to goal. His confidence level was a top notch and must be praised for the winning goal.
