You have seen files such as games, movies, and software, highly Compressed and packed into small sized files, Right? Have you ever wondered how are those files highly Compressed into smaller files like 1GB Compressed into just 100MB?

I will briefly show you how easy it is to accomplish this task and help you save your drive space or cloud space.

Suppose you have a large file with you and a lot more storage in your Hard Drive, In this situation, you can highly Compress it to a smaller file and then keep it as a backup by deleting the large file.

Let's first download and install *7-Zip* software which is a free Open source software, that means it is completely FREE and you are not required to pay anything in order to use it.

*_Steps:_*

1. Download 7-Zip.
2. Install 7-Zip.
3. Right click on the particular file/folder you want to highly Compress.
4. Select *7-Zip* and then click *Add to archive*.
5. Select the *Compression level* as *“Ultra”*
6. Now click on the *OK* button

_Now the Compression process will start. Wait for it to complete (time depends on the size of the file you are compressing)._

7. Once done, you will get a message saying completed.👍🏽

That’s it and now we have successfully compressed the large file into a smaller one.

Highly Compressing a file/folder is a good method to save a lot of space on your hard drive. If you are about to store it in your Cloud Storage service, then for uploading high sized files, it will take a lot of time and data. So, it is always better to upload highly compressed files instead of non-compressed one.😉
Hope you guys found this tips useful.
