to me he is doing worse than bad. Soludo and Sanusi were better captains. If I were Buhari I would have fired both him and d finance minister long ago... I don't like when people don't give me positive results...
wagbayi!! your head is working at peak performance. especially Sanusi. I so miss the man. The banking industry was a sanitized industry under his watch. Not the banking industry and economy that we have now.

Though I think this is coming rather late, nonetheless better than never because they all have underperformed. Most are completely useless. They have served their political purposes, have been rewarded, stolen enough already so the party has to end. This government has just 9 months to turn this Titanic around or it will sink come 2019.

trying to unite the nation within 50days of been an acting president is a great achievement.
If such person is given the mandate to rule this nation in 4yrs,he will surely move mountain.

What has Buhari done for the past 2yrs... Bringing us from frying pan to fire?
Will you call that an achievement?
Funny. But just half a year ago you guys were frothing in the mouth saying 'those parts of the country' could go to hell. Then you put only three plugs in your four cylinder engine and stormed off from the mechanics workshop. It is now 'an achievement' to tow the car with a knocked engine back to Kamoru who is obviously smiling now saying, Oga, I told you that Nigeria cannot work without unity and unity cannot work without social justice.

Everyday Nigerians give me less and less hope with their thinking, utterances and ways and give more ammo to those who have abandoned this country and call us fools who have not.

You destroy something out of foolishness then attempt to repair it now becomes an achievement. Is Osibanjo not part of the government that brought us here. Or do we have two governments. If my mechanic broke my car only to patch it back or my technician ruined by toaster only to knock it back. Yes I will say, thank you in relief but still fire him.

Only restructuring can halt the viscious downward spiral Nigerians experience with successively worse governments. But will the people ever hear. ?

I stopped reading when the report suggested that the CBN governor would be affected. This is bollocks!

The president CANNOT unilaterally sack the CBN governor. He can only be suspended for a period of time.
For clear offenses/disreputable actions and not just for doing his job and only after the governing council has appended. The CBN is a government on its own just like the Legislature oq Judiciary. They are the defacto fourth arm of most governments worldwide because money is a god.

Yet another proof that most Nigerians donot know how government works or how to make it work for them. They just roam around like sheep bleeting here and there led by dastardly political herdsmen to danger and want. And I always say, the quality of a government cannot exceed the quality of the governed, the people. You make the bed you lie on,
They think the independence of the Legislature, Judiciary and the CBN is for no reason and yet expect things to work well. So much ignorance.
Re: Buhari's Return: Major Cabinet Shake-Up Likely This Week - The Punch by ProfDumbledor(m): 11:41am On Mar 12, 2017
My recommendations for sack:
1. Yemi Adeosun: the worst ever minister of finance.
2. CBN governor: confused, naive and incompetent
3. Fashola: too busy doing absolutely nothing. He doesn't have a clue at all. He should be stripped of power and housing ministries.
4. Yemi Osibanjo: Was amazed when he blamed forex crisis on corruption n pipeline vandalism. He doesn't have a clue about the economy and therefore should be removed as the head of the economic team. A more competent technocrat should be appointed.
5. Udo Udoma: a disaster and a square peg in a round hole. Shouldn't have any business with budget and national planning. Ben Akabueze should replace him.
6. Customs boss: a disgrace to customs. A man with an ethnic agenda.
7. DSS boss: another man with an ethnic agenda. DSS is now an enemy of the people.
8. Babachir Lawal: an arrogant, clueless and corrupt grass cutter.
9. Education minister: lol. A career accountant heading such an impotant sector. No wonder education in Nigeria is in coma.
10. Health minister: a reverred classroom professor but definitely incompetent in managing the health sector. Old, slow in action, divisive and unreceptive to new ideas.

citizenisb:
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Muhammadu Buhari may not do well in economy and foreign affairs, except in military matters.

“Buhari is not a very hot person on the economy and foreign affairs,” Obasanjo said.

The former President stated this on Monday at the third International Conference on African Development Issues — themed, “Driving inclusive and sustainable development in Africa: Models, methods and policies” — organised by Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State.

While reacting to a question posed to him by a member of the audience: “Is there any hope for Nigeria under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari?”, Obasanjo replied, “Is there any hope for Nigeria under this administration? I came back from Geneva, Switzerland a few days ago to attend a conference titled, ‘Are elections giving democracy a bad name?’ We had an election, we elected a leader and the good thing about democracy is that the power you have to elect a leader is also the power you have to remove him. I am saying this because I said earlier that if you don’t see any leader that has done well in the 56 years of Nigeria’s independence, then let us forget about Nigeria.

“I will tell you what I know and I will tell you what I don’t know. I know Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. He served under me in the military. His characteristics that I know, his behaviour that I know, he has not deviated from them. He was never a perfect man, he is not a perfect man and no leader can ever be a perfect man because they are human beings. But if you read my book, what I said about him is correct. He is not a hot person when it comes to economy. He is not a very hot person when it comes to foreign affairs. But he will do well in matters of military and he will do well in fighting Boko Haram.”

The CBN Governor job is a tenured job, hope you know? It's for 5 years renewable for another 5 years. Remember how hard it was for Jonathan to remove Sanusi even when Sanusi was involved in anti government activities! Emefiele was appointed 2014 and is gonna stay till 2019 at the very least whether you Afonjas and Abokis like it or not! The real problem of this government is the Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun. She doesn't know her onions at all! The 41 items banned should be unbanned with immediate effect. Export and import policies should be more people and business environment friendly to replace the existing draconian and retrogressive as well as harsh policies that are stifling growth, choking businesses and stunting the economy by the day! You guys should leave out Emefiele from the matter cos the government is undermining his patriotic efforts as the helmsman at the CBN. But the issue of MPR should be looked into ASAP to make access to credit easier and cheaper for businesses nationwide. I don talk my own sha. Only if Buhari and his team would listen and do the needful.

President Muhammadu Buhari declared late Wednesday in Nairobi that he was yet to be convinced that Nigeria and its people will derive any tangible benefit from an official devaluation of the Naira.
Jusmudi:
Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated that his position not to approve further devaluation of the Naira President stands.

Buhari said that Nigeria, which is not an exporting nation, would be worst hit if the Naira was devalued.

He noted that only the Western countries, with lots of items to export, could benefit from the economic measure.

barcanista:
Since I was born, I have never witness the kind of hypocrisy, double standard and demonisation that is currently perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari, the APC, Alhaji Sanusi, Osinbajo and their "good governance crusaders" against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, Allison Madekwe, and other government officials.

Alhajis Buhari and Sanusi and APC have been going about using every platform to talk about a "missing $20b", cheered by their hypocritical followers that pride themselves as good governance crusaders. They have deliberately gone blind over the fraud of CBN under Sanusi as outlined by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria report in February 2014.

Sanusi Indicted And Removed For Fraud
According to the report (see below) Sanusi was indicted for Gross Misconduct that bothers on fraud and financial recklessness among other offence. The FRCN subsequently advised Mr President to remove Lamido Sanusi from office for further investigation and probe after the explanation of Sanusi appeared more like a tale and outrightly illogical according to FRCN. The council indicates that the explanation provided by Sanusi is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”

The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”

April 2014: VP-elect Yemi Osibanjo Filed Case To Stop Sanusi Probe
Rather than Sanusi to prove his innocence in court, he filed a case in Federal High Court, Lagos to STOP FRCN and Other Security Agencies from investigating and prosecuting him through three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kanyinsola Ajayi and Kola Awodien.
http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=24587

13 May 2014: Lagos Judge Tshoho Grants Sanusi Prayers
High Court Judge John Tshoho rather than uphold the constitutional powers of FRCN to investigate probe Sanusi, he granted the prayers of Lamido Sanusi and BARRED FRCN from further investigation or probing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In his own words...
“Prejudice is very pronounced in the language of that document. The language of the briefing note (transmitted by the FRCN to the presidency) conveys a sense of the defendant desperately goading the presidency to deal with the plaintiff,”
“The plaintiff submitting himself for investigation (by FRCN) is like the cockroach finding itself in the midst of fowls. Such a cockroach cannot be innocent,”.

http://www.tv360nigeria.com/?p=11923

Despite the fact the President Jonathan commissioned PWC to audit NNPC books to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of Sanusi's claim, Buhari, APC, Sanusi and their online agents that parade themselves as good governance and anticorruption apostles have been crying blue murder but refused to comment on the FRCN report nor the APC's VP elect role in shielding Sanusi for probe.

April 26, 2015: Buhari's Display of Hypocrisy
In his usual hypocrisy, General Buahri vowed to re-visit the $20b allegation but said NOTHING about the FRCN report. In his own word... “Imagine a situation where the former CBN governor who by God ‘s grace would later become the  Emir of Kano raised an  issue of missing billions of money, not in Naira but in Dollars, $20 billion.
“What happened, instead of investigating to know whether it was true that the money was missing or not, they simply found a reason to remove him. So these are the issues we are talking about…"

Contrary to the lies of Alhaji Buhari, Sanusi wasn't removed because he raised alarm, he was removed because he was indicted by FRCN. Jonathan also never kept mute, he commissioned PWC to audit the books. Buhari was also blind to talk about prosecuting Sanusi for the CBN fraud. Perhaps the Emir is as "incorruptible" as him(Buhari)
The FRCN’s report on Sanusi

The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013.

The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013.

According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”

The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”

The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are:

Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

(A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria.

(B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system.

This article is straight from Bourdillon. First, Buhari can not sack Emefiele and any sane journalist should know that.

Secondly, what did Osinbajo really achieve as Acting President apart from travelling to the South East and the South south. Obviously, he's tried to unify the country but other than that, he's really done nothing.

The only thing I can say here is that he's likely to become a better human being. One thing I've noticed as a health professional who has cared for a lot of patients going through acute and life threatening ill health is that they become better human beings after such episodes. He may tone down on his tyranny, bigotry and hatred for some groups.

What he's passed through and still going through now must have thought him that vanity upon vanity is vanity.

Rad1cal:
The Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr. Solomon Dalung, on Thursday said the Federal Government did not expect the Super Falcons to win the just-concluded CAF African Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

He said that was why the government was currently facing difficulties in paying the players’ entitlements.

Dalung spoke with State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja amidst continued protests by members of the victorious Falcons over their unpaid allowances.

The players had seized the trophy they won at the competition and said they would hold on to the trophy until the authorities concerned offset the N238.05m accumulated bonuses which they are being owed.

They had threatened that if President Muhammadu Buhari refused to address their grievances at the Federal Executive Council’s meeting on Wednesday, they would embark on protest on the streets of Abuja.

But the minister said the situation could have been avoided if the Nigerian Football Federation had envisaged that the team would win and put in place the process of paying their entitlements.

He said, “Don’t forget that nobody even knew the team will emerge victorious.

“If we were confident they will emerge victorious, all the federation would have done is to plan for process of participation and entitlement.

“It is already established in sports tradition, when you win this is what you are entitled to.

“The situation is highly unfortunate and I don’t like it. These girls have given confidence to women who want to embrace sports, so this will go a long way in killing this laudable achievement. It is unfortunate but we will make sure the right thing is done.”

The minister said his position had always remained that the process of request for funds for sporting projects must come earlier to meet the objectives.

He said if the federation had requested for funds on time, the process of settling the players would have been easier.

The minister admitted that the matter was not handled properly, regretting that there are also issues of outstanding payment of coaches.
