(3 stacks is a god on d mike..but he hasn't done any serious music in recent years) In this new generation tho...I love ab_soul (my moniker is his alter ego), Kendrick Lamar, j.Cole(really stepped up his game in recent years..his high for hours jam is just mind blowing) I'd give the last spot to chance the rapper(he always strikes me as unserious and just having fun but then his content is always heavy) How about u? Niyuu: You find no meaning? The meaning is in the title of the song - Poison and Wine. It is about two lovers who are complete opposite but can't seem to do without each other. They are forever ambivalent in their love with one another. They are unable to live without one another, but staying together is too painful; As much as they hate each other, they love each other that much more. It's an addicting type of love that they are unable to control. He manipulates her because he can and she deals with it because as hard as it is to be with him, it'd be even harder to be without. The song is filled with opposite all through, it is a masterpiece. "Oh your hands can heal, your hands can bruise I don't have a choice but I'd still choose you I wish you'd hold me when I turn my back The less I give the more I get back Oh your mouth is poison, your mouth is wine. pressplay411:Wide off the mark! I am more a Slim Shady stan than a Jay-Z fanboy. The only rapper I am certain towers Em lyrically is the man from Queens, Canibus. Stop making excuses, Em's verses on that track were probly his best ever; Flow, rhyme scheme, delivery and content. Period.What excuses? Eminem was excellent on the Renegade track, his internal rhymes flipped the lid of credulity over, his flow was fluidly ethereal, but in all these was he equally matched. Jay-Z's lyrics simply had a deeper poetic dimension which Em's verse was deficient in. Em said it as it was, but Jay hid behind the esoteric curtains of metaphorical language. I also do not think Em's verse on Renegade was his best ever. That you prefered Jay's content is another issue. Jay appealed to the street better. But Em and his verses personified the meaning of a musical Renegade.Eminem did not murder Jay-Z; they were evenly matched. Nas' submissions have merely helped in fostering that wrong-headed idea. Because Hov wasn't screaming at the top of his lungs did not make his verse any less potent. Even if we place two world-class guitarists in a room and ask them both to play, one would give off the seeming of outclassing the other even when it isn't the case; even when it's only that our "prior-to-the-moment" preference for either of the guitarists have merely interfered with and re-routed the trajectory of our judgement. If you seek to know the true definition of "getting murdered on a track", then No Love by Lil Wayne ft. Eminem fits the bill.
