Mr Sebastine1994,

Like Ayinke93 said, all 47xxx was trying to do was promote your business by drawing your attention to a prospective buyer but you took it south.

Don't you know what Word of Mouth Marketing can do for your business?

My dear youths of Nairaland.

You can do your own research or take it From me. Kogi state is the home of cashew in nigeria. It is another source of income for the people. As for the promotion of my products, its totally unnecessary. These Indians come here to buy it directly from us. We dont take it to the open market. The thing is that it is seasonal. From Feb to April.
People from neighbouring villages transport bags of cashew to Anyigba to sell. 50kg goes for as much as 60000. A painter Rubber is 4500.

Agric cashew grow faster than the native one. That is the one people are going for. For quick harvest.
One thing a visitor to kOgi will quickly notice is the huge shrines made under cashew trees, Calabash stained with animal blood. It would scare you I swear. It is meant to ward of cashew thieves. You can eat the cashew BUT dont take the nuts.

We dont go around begging for buyers. Buyer's are not even satisfied.
Here in Kogi, lokoja is excluded because it is already overcrowded. There is no space for cashew to grow. This cash crop comes from the small nameless villages. Sometimes people without cashew farm visit these village to buy from them and sell with a profit to these indians.
Dekina is one of the biggest local government in nigeria. So many people's fortune have changed in life because of cashew. Coming to place like ejule, you see mighty homes built with cashew money.
Warehouse are been built to house the ever increasing supply of cashew

it is the seed we deal in. Some people make a living by growing cashew in a nursery and selling them when they reach transplanting stage. It is huge business for some people. Even the former governor of Kogi state wada, he has the biggest cashew nursery in the country.
We have a cashew monitoring task force that ensure no body can hijack the market by selling low.
During the season, we hire women to help us pluck the cashew. All we want is the nuts. The others are wasted.
