Niger delta oil money being use to built infrastructure. Northern states should step up their agriculture. We want to see the groundnut piramid, cotton and textile and all those development in the north to make them self-reliant and depend less on oil money that is far dwindling.

Only 76 housing units?

With the level of housing shortages in the country, one would expect hundreds of houses.

Stop comparing a completed housing estate in Angola with a yet to be completed hosing estate in Nigeria. Makes no sense, at least wait till the one in Nigeria is completed before comparisons.

As the Governor of Lagos state, Fashola built the best housing estates in Nigeria,
Completed or not there is this saying, by their fruit you will know them. The point i was making of which you did not understand me was, its time Nigeria start doing big things not 76 or 78 units of housing for the masses without supporting infrastructures.
And as for Fashola building the best housing estates in Nigeria, still the difference are clear. The problem we have in Nigeria is that mediocrity has became way of life and i wish you go back pull up the best estates that Fashola built and compare with the one in this picture you will see the difference.

Why can't Nigeria take this opportunity to do this the right way for once. Just look at this mass housing in Angola. Please whatever that worth doing, please let do it well.
Nigeria hv high test.
I bet, this kind of structure is not built anywhere again in Nigeria in this 21st century.
Even the houses that was built for Boko Haram victims in Borno re more better than these.
Use ur phone and browse it to confirm what I am saying.

Why do we still have all these silly political moves?

Is he a Building inspector.

If he wants to see the progress of things, why does he need a convoyhuh

Only 76. . .

If they were building enough homes for multitudes of Nigerians, I doubt that he will have tome for all the inspecting...

The architecture may not be appealing to you but the difference are they are building with proper infrastructures, like well planed streets, drainage, not open drainage, sewage system not soakaway 16th century technology, water and so on, not all the mediocre projects.

The Massive Chinese-Built Ghost Town In The Middle Of Angola

http://www.businessinsider.com/chinese-built-ghost-town-kilamba-angola-2012-7?op=1
1. First you posted some completed bungalow buildings in Angola to compare with a yet to be completed bindings in Nigeria which made no logical sense, now you posted pics of housing complex built with Chinese loans.

2. Let me educate you about your Angola debacle.

The estates was built with $3.5 billion Chinese loans, but the apartments in the complex cost somewhere between $120,000 and $200,000 according to online advertisements cited by BBC. Other anecdotal reports put the price of 3-bedroom apartment at about $250,000.

None of which helps the average Angolan given the country's per capita GDP of $5,144 per year, according to the World Bank.

3. The Angola housing estates you are beating chest with are all empty simply because the average worker in Angola can not afford them so why build or waste money on empty buildings that your people can not afford while you are still saddled with the loans and interests payments instead of spending your resources on what your people can afford.?

It's walled waste, poor financial judgement and prudence.

All that glitters is not gold my friend.

Bros you are a joker. In as much as I dislike Apc, Pdp can not be an alternative to the hardship the zoo already faces. I thought the 160M Naira borehole driller promised 760,000 housing units in 2yrs. How come only 76 is in motion? Dunce followers and dunce rulers

He built more housing estates than all the other states in Nigeria combined.

It is up to Ambode to continue and finish what he couldn't finish. Government is continum.

All that glitters is not gold my friend.
As you put it all that glitters is not gold, but it may not be gold but at least it is shiny. As you wanted to educate me with information that was 4/5 years old, just to let you know that the $3.5b you are talking about was for the city the call Kilamba city. kilamba city 2016/2017 is city well occupied with activities and the picture i put up is different from Kilamba my dear, that picture is a mass housing project for low income. If a country like Angola can borrow $3.5b to built a city like Kilamba for its citizen why can't the giant of Africa at least let Nigerian government build a mass housing for its citizens first then let worry later if it will not be occupied. It is time we citizens stop defending visionless, incompetent government and politicians. And for your information, this is a pictures of $3.5b Kilamba city

Re: Fashola Inspects 76 Housing Units In Jalingo, Taraba State by deomelo:
Again, the pictures you posted doesn't change the fact that it is still a largely empty ghost town built with Chinese multi-billion dollar loan that the common man can not afford to live iN

What is the occupancy rate?

Does it even change he fact that you posted a completed estate in Angola to compare with a yet to be completed estate in Nigeria? Your initial argument was still illogical and without sane and rational merit.

Inasmuch you did not understand my comparison which is mainly the number, a mere 76 units not 76 buildings for how many people. To me, that is a laughable project for country with 17 million housing deficit. I hope you have seen the one that was completed in Imo state it is the same plan all over the country and it is shame. I ask again is this what the giant of Africa has to offer to 170 million citizens.
As for Kilamba city in Angola, your 2012 article is old which is not the reality today on ground, where are the world bank and BBC that term it ghost city where are they, now your argument is occupancy rate. My argument is let Nigeria do what Angola is doing if you built they will come let Nigerian government take the bull by the horn and stop all the mediocre and all the wound dressing.

1. Even though the article says 76 units, but we know the this is just in 1 location and the government is constructing many more in other states so your argument was still off base.

2. Yes, we have housing deficits and there's been many decades of inaction by the government, but we both know due to inaction, incompetence and corruption, there's not enough funds to build on the scale you are talking about unless they borrow billions from China or elsewhere to build affordable houses like they did in Angola

3. Fashola as a public official performed admirably in Lagos state when it comes to housing estates, but he has little leeway and meager resources to do what you are suggesting.

Thank God at least you are getting some of my points, but as you said due to inaction, incompetence and corruption that are the reasons why we are where we are i agree with you. But you will also agree with me that inaction, incompetence, and corruption can't be attributed to the government alone, corruption is not just when someone steals money. Corruption is also when citizens like you continued to be the great defender, cheerleader of inaction and mediocrity, that in itself is bigger corruption. When you defend the indefensible corrupted system you became an enabler of a corrupt system and an enabler is equally a corrupt person.
Fashola did well in Lagos no doubt about that but you will agree with me that whatever worth doing is worth doing well no matter the cost. As i said before, If going by what they just finished in Imo state I'll say Fashola has lost his mojo.

What rubbish are you spewing? Fashola is a federal minister with stated budget to carry out his duties strictly based on available at his disposal so what baseless and unintelligent rant about me supporting corruption are you talking about?

Please stick to the argument and stop spewing rubbish or just keep quiet if you have nothing better to talk about?

And saying Fashola lost his mojo was was reflection of your own ignorance because his current responsibilities and variable funds as a federal minister is not the same like what he operated with in Lagos which is obviously common sense.

When it comes to one Nigeria, we Igbos are the only tribe that really practice one Nigeria not by mouth but by deed, other tribes, its just a slogan. So my people i really don't see anything wrong with it, this is what we Nigerians need to be encouraging.
Based on the highlight, I now see what's driving your baseless and pointless rants. I don't go back and forth with your type since everything your type spew is always based on hate tribalism and bigotry.

You are dismissed.
