Rear Admiral AA Madueke (Deziani's husband) was also amongst the first set of graduands. PMB couldn't have been here as he had joined the Army before NDA was commissioned in 1962.

Madueke alsi graduated with Diya. When Biafra was declared, Madueke joined the Biafran Navy. After the war, he returned to the Nigerian Navy along with other Igbo Naval Officers like Ebitu Ukiwe.

CGS was deputy to HOS and this was never in dispute in any of my posts but the fact remains that his official title was never Vice President.

I don't know if PMB was a participant in that coup. Myth says so but no evidence supports it. Muritala, TY Danjuma were active participants though.

As for Madueke, yes. In fact, coming back to the Nigerian Navy made sure that he lost his seniority hence why he was a Rear Admiral and not a Vice Admiral when Diya was a Lt. GEN.
