My girl too was losing hair at the back n sides.
Then she was always having flu.

I got from here that washing daily is not good.
Plus i get flu wen i wash my head always.

Right now i use cantu 4 kids(shampoo n conditioner)....and try to wash every saturday.
I also noticed baby oil isn't good 4 her hair so i went back to coconut oil.
However hubby says i should stop cos sweat n coconut oil dont mix since i wash her hair once a weak.
Am looking 4 hair oil or cream 4 babies to use. Might chevk d cantu stand again

My princess is 5+, she has refused the bottle; from birth even. So they use spoon for her formula feeding at her crèche and I know it is time consuming.
So two advice I need
1) is it d bottles? I got advent and then tomnytippe still nothing. Is there a different bottle that she may accept? How do I make her accept it. Someone suggested coating with breastmilk cos I introduced formula at 5 months. Or should I mix breast milk with her feed?

2( we wanna start solids, I got nutriben (8 cereal+4 fruits) she accepts it so far from the spoon but it seems wasteful as she still manages to spill it all over.

What can I start feeding her? Natural food I mean when she is 6 months.

She was born 2.6 and now she's 7.8kg at 5 months. Is that normal?

For my 17month old, i deep condition every two weeks. I mix cantu kids conditioner with cold pressed castor oil ( jamacian castor oil has no benefit for the hair.its all hype), pepperment oil and hemp seed oil togeda. After washing just once with shampoo, i towel dry and apply the mixture all overr her hair. I den proceed to cover with a shower cap. N engage her with some activities to take her mind off the shower for about an hour. After that i rinse with warm water, towel dry, apply leave in condition, ori n coconut oil den style.

U also need to first detangle the hair with ur hands, and comb gently with a wide tooth comb.

Look 4 fenugreek seed n buy.soak it in hot water for 2hrs.then sieve n drink.do dis morning n evening by 3days u shud see a difference.also buy locust beans(iru) wash it well and chew.take lots of fluid too and keep putting baby to breast.even after giving her formulae still allow her suck so she can activate d flow.

Hey Mama that wrote about glucose D or sugar in pap, I stopped sugar but I replaced it with glucose D, glucose has calcium in it hence it makes kids active. Though I do not generously add it. Recommended by doctor.

My kids don't even take pap oo, na fight n fight and if they take na after crying and cajoling. I don tire seriously, the last one I made na we dey drink am.

may God epp us with this kids oooo. I'm lucky my babies majorly take pap, if not how I for do for this recession. I have gotten the sugar and have started adding to their pap. Kisses to your babies.

My kids have started eating other food though, they eat amala n ewedu like anything, my girl likes indomie like anything, she eats rice well too, just that it's a no to pepper, she will scream if pepper is added. My boy na him be ajebutter oooo, anything sweet, give am yoghout he will drink it like kilode, he is too choosy with food. He likes his normal baby medemede.

Please am a FTM and am doing exclusive for my baby boy who will be 6month soon. Please i will like to know the kind of food to start with although i read through some post here and I can see CERELAC NAN etc......if am going for CERELAC, am I to feed him that only or mix it with milk? If I want to include pap which milk can I mix with the pap pls.......and what energy drink can I include

Me, I wash his hands immediately, if we are out and there's no water,I use baby wipe.

Hmmm, u really need wisdom in that aspect, cos some people are easily offended and you have to protect your baby as well.

The only solution I know here is to always clean the hand with wipes when u r outside and wash it with soap as soon as u get home. But, is there anyway u can stop her from sucking?

Walahi, this pap something is crazy oooo. My boys bottle feed even cereals. They don't like feeding from spoon. I wish they can be eating other things apart from pap. They spit out anything you put in their mouth, in fact they won't even open that their small mouth well. But they self-feed biscuit and anything you give them in hand.

Thanks Comtem2011 for the mention

Cerelac is a cereal- i.e made from various grains- think golden morn but formulated for babies.

Nan is formular - ie fortified baby milk.

Well i have never used cerelac, but in guess you will have to mix it with milk. And by milk i mean Formular. The instructions should be on the tin.

After your lo turns 1 you can start using normal powdered milk.

For the formular you will need to get the one labeled follow-on milk ( 6 months - 12 months)


For pap, i have given my dd only once and she spat it out for me...... so sorry i cant help you there as i dont undertand the whole hype about pap.

As for energy drink- what do you mean? Your baby doesnt need any energy drink, they dont need added sugars and definitely avoid honey as it is dangerous for babies under one.

With cerelac u just add warm water. Like you said the instruction is on the tin. It has different ages from 6mths, 8mths, 12mths each with different composition

Mamas Abeg what causes a baby to reject breast? My son is just 10weeks old and I noticed over the weekend that he now prefers formula to breast milk during the day. No matter how much I try to put the breast in his mouth he will cry and cry but as soon as I give him a bottle he will eat very well. He only takes the breast at night when he wakes up to feed but once it's day time he won't take again.
I've tried to express but highest I've got5en from both breasts is 120/140ml that's like 100ml from the left and 20 or 40ml from the right breast
My son has a very very huge appetite and I feed on demand and I'll really like him to take more of breast milk than formula which is how I was doing before he suddenly changed and started preferring the formula
Or could it have happened because I left him with dh during the weekend and cos of that had to be on formula all through?

Is there anything I can do?
