Has it occurred to you that maybe there are no churches in his area that disturb him, so it didn't come to mind. For instance I have two mosques here that disturb me all day, however within there is no church within such short distance that disturb. Nobody is saying churches don't disturb, but you attacked him on very wrong basis.

Okay. On the basis of the emboldened, I stand corrected.

Thanks.

Cheers.

Any form of public Live Bands acts ban seems from afar like a thoroughly bad idea.

Now the sentence above would make a great tongue twister tongue

Amen to that.

This should include all mega phones used on public roads, and ringing of bells(in this day and age)?

Public road is for everyone's use. Someone cannot come and make me deaf . Shouting on the roads, ringing bells and mega phones.

Like at the cinemas. We know where to find you if we need entertainment.

Ambode abeg leave live band in the Bars alone. Nor be everyone get money to go Quilox.

Relaxing in the bar is the last hope of the common man after you lot in power would have oppressed their means of survival with harsh policies.

Make it sound proof and you're good to go.

The GM should please make public the telephone numbers where instant reports could be made while at same time he should set up a Unit/Department in his office that will act with dispatch to investigate and take appropriate actions on those who violate the law in this regard..

This country with agencies who just don't know their work. Frsc instead of them to insist on better roads and work with or mandate the Ministry of works to build standard roads they go after the citizens first. Now this man is talking about EIA environment impact assessment in relation to music na wahh oo. Pls what about all the generators, the govt won't look at their failings but look at making life more harder for its citizens. Is it the mosque calling for prayer after 5am or the churches praying and singing or those at the bars trying to relax and the musicians trying to make some money they should go after

Am a Ghanaian n very much in support of dz development.. It appears lyk stupidity pervades throughout the African continent, I happen to live with dis same noise-making tin from one church jux a stone's throw away from my residence somewhere in Accra.... Wht we Africans don't understand is de basic principle of music therapy; wht sounds pleasant to ur ears may sound otherwise to the nxt soul, besides de decibels of sound from dz churches n mosques in particular is jux too much for de human ear, no wonder most Africans are deaf without even being aware... Dis ban is in the positive direction n should be replicated across de continent.. Its high time we get civilized.. mtcheeeew.

When bars and restaurants start to disturb me at 6am then I will complain but for the time being the only people I know who do that are the various branches of Redeemed, MFM and the mosques who tend to site their venues in residential areas, then proceed to disrespect the residents of said areas by blasting them with nonsense day after day.

When it's not the loudspeakers from their buildings it's their moronic members doing their obnoxious 'outreach'.

They aren't as much of a problem - bars and nightclubs are only noisy at certain times at night and even then it's not every day.

Churches and mosques cause noise pollution from 6 am every day and it gets worse on the weekend when you want your rest or need to be productive at home.

Also, you tend not to find nightclubs and bars in residential areas with the same frequency as mosques and churches.

The clubs, bar produces alot of noise and their frequency is terrible. They should be ban or located to another area far from residential house. Also those shops that play music should follow suit because they constitute nuisance. The governor should ask how bar operates in other countries because in Nigeria, it's the opposite

It's far more likely that there will be a church and/or a mosque near your home than a nightclub or bar. And even when you have nightclubs they are not busy every night of the week nor are they busy early in the morning.

The churches and mosques make noise from morning until night every single day of the week. They are much more frequent with their functions and in their number. You can't drive more than 100 meters without passing a church in some parts of Nigeria.
