His point is that the prices of goods are not indicating that the naira has ppreciated by about 20% as we are made to believe .

what's wrong with people like you? Why did price of some of the stuff go up? They can't get forex and naira fell to the dollar. You were calling for buhari's head for making naira to fall and that's the biggest problem of nigeria. Now you're shifting post and singing another song.

Don't mind him

Some people can be so pessimistic lipsrsealed

I call them the glass-is-half-empty blokes.

You don't need to bother yourself with such hopeless people

Just let them be

Because listening to them alone can cause severe depression for you which may even lead to suicide.

Nothing special.

Even any fool can perform better, even making one dollar to be one hundred naira.
Just needed to push billions of dollars into the forex market.

The economy is still bad. The government has no direction how to make economy better.
educated illiterate spotted.....the price of good didnt shoot up to its current stage in one day or month, why would the price of goods plumment to its initial stage in weeks?..especially when the stocks of goods bought at higher rate havent been sold out.

Bdc should be scrapped because bankers are the major speculators. They hoard the dollar and sell to bdc at a rate higher than what they sell to customers. So tell me where are we going.
Also Nigerians just want to see Naira appreciates without doing anything because that is what is happening right now. If CBN keeps injecting and they get to a stage they can't inject again, where do we find ourselves?

What some people don't understand is that even if Dollar goes down to 150naira, it doesn't concern the ordinary Nigerian man, unless price simple food items go back to normal. So as long as everything is still on the high side, Nigeria is still in recession to these ordinary Nigerians.

Well said my brother.. What has the poor man got to do with dollar whether high or low. Some have never seen or touched it in real life self.
Well, it goes beyond everyone touching the dollar. You didn't get the message the person you quoted was trying to pass.
If dollars depreciate against naira, you and me don't need to touch the dollar before enjoying the benefits. The price of rice for instance will come down and that's will be the benefit for all of us.

The high price of food items is a direct consequence of the high exchange rate but I assure you, if this trend continue, you will soon see those prices tumbling down. Same applies to the prices of other commodities.

It was 150 when Obj was in power, naira started depreciating during Gej, only if you knew how much Gej almost jeopardized this country. I stop here. uote author=Franzinni post=54823210]And we are supposed to be happy!!!! When Jonathan was in power it was 217 and this mumu APC.. They complained, they said they had the knowledge to make 1 dollar equal 1 naira....

Now we are at 420 and they call it news?!!!! They psychologically bullied Nigerians to rejoice over their abject failure..

APC, pdp, apga, kowa and the rest of them, all of these fraternities will never have the interest of Nigerians at heart.... [/quote]
