LONDON — The knife-wielding terrorist who killed an American tourist and three others outside the U.K. Parliament was British-born and previously investigated for "violent extremism," according to officials.

Authorities identified the suspect as 52-year-old Khalid Masood but said he was known by a number of aliases.

On Friday, police confirmed the attacker had been named "Adrian Russell Ajao" at birth.

His birth name was originally reported as Adrian Elms, with his mother named as Janet Elms. The Daily Mail reported that she married a man named Phillip Ajao in West Sussex when Masood was a small child.

The truth is in there.
It looks worse than it initially appears. The Masood guy was not born a Muslim but was brought up by a Nigerian Muslim after marrying his mom. So he grew up in an Islamic home but was not born to Muslim parents.

It is like the reverse case of Moses (an Egyptian Prince) but actually a Jew. The family life (nurture) is different from the genetic traits (nature).

It could be concluded easily that the Nigerian "father" laid the basis for this guy's radicalization.
