lol... keep thinking like this till poverty erodes you. listen man, there is a very big difference between smartness and getting good. most students today will read and memorize the handouts before exams and enter the hall and use teamwork to pass their exams and get good grades, those things they memorized they will obviously forget them after exams and the cycle keeps going till they graduate and possibly graduate with a 2.1 , and a guy would does not made such grade but have managerial skill. please if you own a company who will you employ?
Managerial skill is acquired mostly on the job and that is why good companies don't employ fresh graduates as managers. I am not talking about some fake companies who employ such graduates and expect them to do the jobs of trainees and managers at the same time, with zero training and without comensurate pay.

You don't know me from anywhere, so you typing that poverty will erode you not me, was just a hogwash.

Are you insinuating that the department of geography was moved from faculty of science to faculty of arts at ABU? Can you tell us when this was done?
Nigerians are very funny, I have read some baseless arguments online about how Bachelor of Arts appeared on Dino melaye's certificate while BSc in on ABU's website, but trust Nigerians don't do their research work well before they post jargons... Lets educate ourselves

History of the Department of Geography at ABU ZARIA

The Department of Geography, Ahmadu Bello University started on September 26th 1962 using the classrooms formerly used in teaching ‘A’ Level Geography at the Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology. The first two lecturers were M.B. Thorp and M. Mortimore from Liverpool and Leeds respectively. Prof H.A. Moisley joined the Department as the first Professor of Geography in 1963 from the University of Glasgow and was later joined by P.N. Hore as a Senior Lecturer with a Ph.D from the University of London. By the time the first class of undergraduates moved into part III of the degree programme in October 1964, there were four academic staff in the department.

The staff strength has grown to 26 academic staff, 6 technologists, 3 library staff, 7 secretarial staff and a driver.

The Departmental Library is the largest Geography Departmental Library in the country. The Department also has a comprehensive map Library.

Staff-Student relation is friendly and undergraduates run the socially and academically active National Association of Geography Students (NAGS), A.B.U Chapter.
Geography Department was under the Faculty of arts and Social Sciences offering the degree of B.A (Honours) and B.Sc (Honours) in geography respectively.

Presently, the department is under the Faculty Science offering only B.Sc in Geography. Apart from the undergraduate degree, the department offers Postgraduate Diplomas in GIS and Rural Development respectively and Masters of Science in Geography, GIS, Transport Management, Population and Demographic studies, Rural Development and Environmental Management respectively. We also offer Ph.D in Geography and Rural Development.

These courses have made the Department a haven of postgraduate students that are eager to attain the training and have been tremendously relevant in all spheres of their endeavours.

I find it unnecessary for now to abuse you but pray tell before I do, did melaye graduate from abu in 1962 when the school offered BA honours in geography as an option?! If melaye could do nysc in 1999 and graduate in 2000, i guess it's also possible for him to obtain his geography degree with BA honours in 1962 while gaining admission into the campus in 1995 or thereabouts! House, let's give a shout out to melaye and his gang of praiseworshipers!
from the drivel you have up there, i can see how you graduated (that is, if you have). So from the paragraphs above, all you could deduce was that it was only in 1962 (an indication of when the faculty was established) that they offered BA in geography, abi?

clap fo yasef, you are very good in reading/comprehension.

slow.pokes come on this forum and be vibrating with confidence in their ignorance. go back and read those paragraphs again, this time read slowly and follow the timeline of events progressively before spewing your imbecilic drivel.

FYI - i don't give two shits about anybody including dino, just giving slow people like you, who are too lazy to do little required digging and compare available facts to arrive at relative truth, an opportunity at a little bit of understanding. The school system in any given part of the world keeps (and will keep) evolving to meet market/industry/social needs of the day. Even the nigerian tertiary school matriculation system has evolved dramatically in the past three years not to talk of 20/30 years ago. what you meet in your time may not be obtainable or remain a valid process 10years from now. Get that into your skull and review your position on like issues objectively (i.e. if you know how) cool.

I do not understand this statement, please explained further;
Geography Department was under the Faculty of arts and Social Sciences offering the degree of B.A (Honours) and B.Sc (Honours) in geography respectively.
Are you insinuating that ABU gives B.A and B.Sc for the same course - geography? Or that two different faculties give different bachelor's degree for geography?
How does it work?

This is what someone comment on facebook

Dada Adewale Sunday I graduated from ABU and I know Dino then as the SUG president. Truly, his student activism and inccesant closure of ABU due to one crisis or the other then put him in the bad records of the school administrators, thereby prolonged his study duration but truly I attended his graduation Party at the Samaru Campus Pepsi Garden. I know he actually graduated in 1996/97 Academic Year. They were all (activists) graduated during the tenure of the then sole administrator of the school , Maj. Gen. Mamman Kontangora (of blessed memory) who we , the students called Uncle K then. Geography dept , Mass Comm, and two other departments were all undet the fac. of Arts awarding B.A honor, untiil 1997 when they were moved to Fac. of Science in 1997/98 by Uncle K restructuring administration. . . The Uncle K administration came into being after the protracted crisis in the institution over the app ointment of Prof Daniel Saror, a Christian from Benue state as the Vice Chancellor, this singular act did not go down well with the Hausa/Fulanis who believed a Muslim core northerner jmust head the institutions being the only first generation university in the north . . The Institutions was shut down for 2 years between 1994- 1996 and the sole admin was appointed to restructurie the institution by the then military govt of Late Gen. Abacha..

Bro, if you go through my link you will see that in 1986 it was no longer under the faculty of arts. That was what I was pointing out and Dino graduated in 1999. So, it could be deduced that the person that made the counterfeit result read the 1962 history of Abu but didn't know the department of geography has moved faculty.

I seem not to get this, what's so difficult about verifying if someone actually graduated from a university, why would ABU be keeping mum, about such sensitive issues, who is the vc sef that can't order a proper investigation into this, all he needs to do is just authorize those involved probably computer section to go through the database of the school, funny enough same claim was made as regards a foreign school (London) and a counter statement was published within days, honestly I weep for this country
You have said the truth, right from the beginning I knew ABU was at fault, what LSE and Harvard did is not exceptional that is what ABU should have done if they don't have anything to hide. Most likely is 'graduation' was controversial and ABU wanted it to pass away. Is name is not in any graduation list and may not have been approved or gone through the registrar. Apart from that, I think, Sahara knew someone close to Dino or a government agency that investigated him that came to the conclusion that is graduation was not properly recorded. I won't be surprise if Sowore had all this information already but decided to go for the big headline.

An issue is that Punch stated that their investigations showed that when he graduated it was in Science. It depends on who is right.

You must be a celebrated fool suffering from celebral imbalance.
Read the below search findings of records of graduating students of abu from geography department from 1973 for yourself and stop misinforming the public...

Another search for ‘ Jonah ’ came up with four different names: Bawa Jonah Seth Besanhi (BSc Geography ; graduated in 1973 ); Birga Jonah (BSc Geography ; graduated in 2007 ); Kaigama Jonah Ishaku (BSc Geography ; graduated in 2011 ); and Ndasala Jonah (BSc Geography ; graduate in 1987 ) .

There were 10 results when ‘ Daniel’ was searched : Abin Daniel John (BSc Geography ; graduated in 1978 ); Adamu Kantsan Daniel (Institute Of Education Geography ; graduated in 1992 ); Aniro Daniel Rabo (BSc Geography ; no graduation date indicated ); Atenji Daniel E . (BSc Geography ; graduated in 1986 ); Beshiru Daniel (BSc Geography ; graduated in 1980 ); Dada Daniel Adefila (BSc Geography ; graduated in 1979 ); Awubra Daniel Akinkwe (Geography ; graduated in 2002 / 2003 ); Daniel Bosede Biddy (BSc Geography graduated in 1983 ); Daniel Dogara Garba (BSc Geography ; graduated in 2010 ); and Daniel Ezra Jatau (BSc Geography ; graduated in 2011.

Your crook hero malaye graduated from abu in 2000 with BA honours in geography! Tell us again that you are a fool!
