OVERCOMING THE ISSUE OF BITCOIN PRICE VOLATILITY WITHIN THE BLOCKCHAIN WALLET

I could remember how happy I was the first week i had my blockchain wallet funded with bitcoin. The amount was $100 worth of BTC that I had hoped to use to try out a program. As i watched the price, it fluctuated; mostly upwards. In my very eyes, the coins hit $110 and went on to appreciate to $140 before daybreak. Mehn, i couldn't believe it! I was so happy. I quickly used up the whole $140, registering for more programs than i had planned to test out. I concluded inwardly that I will withdraw all my money from the bank and convert them into bitcoin, believing this is the best way to keep money. Thank God i never did! It would have turned a suicidal mission, as not quite long after, the worth of BTC depreciated to almost $600/BTC. And wiped off by almost $120 from my blockchain account balance. I almost died and wanted to quit any program that will require me to keep my earnings in blockchain wallet. I also thank God I never back out but went on to conduct more research on keeping my money in Wallet unchanged.

Not, however, that keeping money in bitcoin form is bad in itself; no. Bitcoin is the world's strongest currency, far more stronger than Top 5 major currencies put together. And in fact, it is a smart way to save ur money and expect it to increase in value. For instance, in 2011; 1BTC = $1 but today 1BTC is a little over a thousand dollars.

Personally, i think keeping bitcoin in a floating medium like blockchain wallet and most other wallets is only good for seasoned investors who have big enough capital base to withstand the price volatility associated with USD/BTC pair. When small investors like most of us keep our hard earned coins in a floating medium, we risk losing all or a substantial fraction of our money should price movement takes the south side. It is sweet when it heads north but very destructive when it turns south. And can have a devastating effect on people.

For this reason, i think we should better sell off our bitcoin as soon as we have them in the wallet, or better still keep it in a medium where it neither goes up nor down but maintains the value at which we earn them.

When u are in urgent need of money, quickly use any of these sites to sell ur bitcoin: remitano.com, luno.com, nairaex.com, naira4dollar.com or Euro (i.e yes eurogee does buy).

If, however, u just want to be accumulating bitcoin without wanting it to change value negatively, visit www.xapo.com and open account. Afterwards, follow the below direction to convert it to stable currency:

1. Click on add fund, and select display bitcoin address.

2. Use the displayed address to transfer ur bitcoin from blockchain to xapo.com wallet.

3. In ur blockchain account dashboard, click on transfer button, and follow the direction to convert your bitcoin into any currency of ur choice.

Whenever u need ur money, u can equally convert it back to bitcoin and then sell it off grin
