BRIEF INFO ABOUT FULL - FRAME DSLRs CAMERA.
Back then in the era when we all used film, 35mm film size was the gold standard film, which every photographer aspires to get. When we switched to digital cameras, the digital imaging sensor which replace the film is potentially smaller than 35mm film. There is now a need for 35mm film equivalent, Canon executives took the lead, huh! and start producing camera sensor that is equal to 35mm film back then in 2002, now some photographers that are using crop-frame cameras are considered as half camera users, chai! Please don't be intimidated by that my statement, if you are using crop sensor camera, that silly Sam hahaha!

RING LIGHT (CFL VS LED)
There is common question we frequently receive from our customers here at SAMDECH. And the question is "LED and CFL (fluorescent) ring light, which one is super" huh! I’ll explain the main differences between the both lights now. The most important and obvious thing that you will notice is that the CFL (fluorescent) features a singular glass fluorescent light tube, whereas the LED features 640 individual LED lights.

Let's Be Practical Here

The main downside of the CFL (fluorescent) is that it is too fragile, if the tube is broken during transit, or if the light is knocked over – you’ll have to replace the entire tube before it can be up and running again. I bet you, this is not the case with the LED, as in, even if 1 bulb blows, you can continue using the ring light, as it won’t affect the rest, hope you understand? good.

Durability

The CFL (fluorescent) has an operating life of approximately ten thousand (10,000) hours, whereas the LED is rated to last approximately one hundred thousand (100,000) hours. Practically 10 x longer give or take. boom!

CRI+/Lighting Accuracy

CRI means colour rendering Index score. The higher the CRI, the more accurate and more faithful your final image will be. In the case of the ring lights, the CFL (fluorescent) is rated at 85+ and the LED is 90+, a slight comparable variant.

Both rings feature 5550K white light, so you can be sure it will produce and mimic natural white light. This is extremely important, especially in beauty, make up and portraiture photography and videos as this ensures all the colours come across accurately.
