It is very possible!!u mayb very good in school but wen it comes to exams God is in control (I.e u may write ur exam very well but how are u sure d marker will mark u well do to his state of being.example he mayb angry,drunk etc y marking ur papers dis may affect ur result) prayers is very important wen it comes to exams
