tweetsme:The Germans also pay taxes at very very high rates.....which is used to fund their hospitals well. If we had our taxes raised to the level the Germans pay....there would be riots on the streets...and people calling the govt wicked. |

ProsperUSA:My advice to Nigerians is not allow their politicians travel out of Nigeria for any medical trip Abroad. Those guys are bunch of Disgrace. The world respect Nigeria as the home to all blacks going by the population, Natural and Human resource. |

this is what you get when NMA monopolise the hospital/health sector. Ever since Beko Kuti gave the top hierarchy to this suppose ego-centric body, The Nigerian health sector has nosedived. Nigerian 'doctors' are not ashamed in losing its patient to hospitals in India. These low lifer even endorsed it. |

Who can bet me 10k that nothing will still happen after 3 months? Someone once said that Nigerians dont even want the country to improve. Am starting to believe it. Is it not the people that elected the LGA chairman up to the Governor that could have championed it. Its hard to see people who know the worth of voters card in Nigeria and i regret not having one. |

It is unfortunate that this the place I was born & unfortunate this the useless country I was born. The birth of Nigeria was a grave mistake, its existence is a shame and its future is not only a sham but hopeless. The case of Nigeria is a sign that the black man can never manage anything. In spite of the allocation every year see what a university is. This hospital is in a state with a governor that get allocation & IGR, in an area of constituency of a senator & house rep member that takes constituency allowance and in a useless country that has a president Sadly we who victims of their misrule wid fight each other ran than channel our strength against them. We even hail them Nigeria and Africa is doomed forever by these beasts in power. These beasts who should forever be in zoos isolated from humans are in government houses. The video links below says it all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0stJkUWUyM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fekzQAEXlOc |

otokx:Finally, the real reason Nig healthcare is in a mess is coming out. While the NMA and Resident Doctors Asso. has been harassing govt and other healthcare professionals for higher pay, better working conditions and in a needless battle of supremacy respectively, the real enemies of the system has been the CMDs of govt hospitals and health commissioners. These are supposedly top brass in the system who are highly educated, qualified and respected. But they use their position to reap off the govt, their colleagues and the people they swore to serve. Just like judges were corrupt and selling justice to highest bidders using their "untouchable" status until DSS did the needful recently. CMDs are untouchables the NMA would not neither allow the search light on them. Maladministration, bullying, diversion of funds meant for equipment and staff etc. They're unquestionable. The politicians knows this and since any attempt to question them will attract a nationwide doctors' strike and paralysis of hospitals, politicians found an excuse to run abroad for medical checks which used to happen only as referal for unavailable specialists attention abroad. This is what Residents should have been doing for years to force NMA to look deeply inward and address the stink their highly respected colleagues were emitting. |

Maintenance is a very big challenge in Nigeria. Judging from the photos if the authorities prioritized simple maintenance it would never have gotten to this state of disrepair. |
