I'ld like to know since u're quite knowledgeable about FMN, hw and what u think this waitlist implies even though calls have bn made to ppl for possibly April 1 availability (as posted on this thread). Thanks peterbam in anticipation of your response!

For certain reasons, some of those who have received offer letter may not resume or should anyone of them leave within the very early part of the program. The wait list will suffice.

There are other roles that may come up here apart from graduate trainee, and you can apply for such.

Hello Peterbam, a honest question please,
1. how much does FMN pay for this position of ours (GT)?
2. How often is promotional exercise carried out?
3. Any room for sponsored training outside the shores of Nigeria?
4. What other pecks are being offered
5. Work time? weekends?

Your kind response would be beneficiary to me et al.
Truth is that i am presently engaged with another coy and really need to if to put in my resignation notice at this point pending the waiting list issh.

Warm regards,

Hello Simple6,
Thanks for input, your point is well noted as well, however, i do not think any question asked in my previous submission could be termed classified.
Please be informed that these questions have been answered in similar threads on this forum, however, those threads are obsolete, and personally i need updated info, hence the need to ask again.
FMN is no secret organization, it is worrisome to understand that discussion about staff welfare in open might be against company policy. Now that is a red flag; what do you think?

OGA nobody is compelling anybody! Beyond knowing the answers to these questions now, years from now people are going to look back to this thread to gain valuable insights. I believe that's the essence of Nairaland. I'm not saying he should give exact figures, hints are fair enough. It's all about discretion. But you sha MISTER COMPELLER - Simple6 I never see any of your inputs since for this thread... I bet you've been in ghost mood since soaking up valuable information. All of a sudden...

Because they do not have the funds for an experienced hire. I noticed something was amiss in the interview when nearly all the questions I was being asked where, "tell us of your past blablabla la..." Sadly for me I only had IT experience and maybe that wasn't enough for them.

Although I furnished answers to all the asked questions, I now feel my lack of working experience in this field may have played against me during their final decision making. This is only a conjuncture though.

The is not true, and the same thing goes for the idea that the recruitment process was hijacked. I had no serious cognate experience except for teaching and I was employed. Out the 15 of us that were called only one person had reasonable prior experience in the production industry, others were either fresh from NYSC or working in an unrelated Industry, as a matter of fact only about 6 or 7 people had current jobs.

This might sound cliche coming from someone who was successful, but the reality is that FMN's GT recruitment like a lot of other recruitment processes was free and fair and almost all (not less that 10) if not all of the successful candidates actively follow this thread. While some couldn't comment because they don't have nairaland accounts, others might have for reasons best known to them chosen not to come forward to state they have been called, but I personally was actually the first person to categorically state here that text messages for medicals were coming in. Haven said that, I hope they will follow the lead of the poor guy they have stylishly imposed as their group leader by coming forward to dispel all the claims about the process being hijacked.

I knows things are not so easy and the rejection could sometimes be depressing, but it is not the end of the world and you are not alone in this. My first interview was in March 2015 and ever since then I have participated in series of recruitment processes, albeit unsuccessfully. These are not mere failing of tests, I actually got to the very last stage of most before I got rejected, KPMG, PWC, General Electric, Ernst and Young, Ikeja Electric, Shell, Accenture to mention a few. But the things is, I archived all those regret mails and made them my motivation. Today, I brandish it as a medal of honor, because they were the failures I had to endure to get to success, I do not believe just making FMN's GT is the big win, far from it, but it is the important opportunity to get to the big win we are all seeking for and I had to wait two years and numerous tests and interviews to get mine. Yours might be shorter or longer, but trust me sulking and blaming others wouldn't make it come any quicker or easier, but sitting back, taking responsibility and restrategizing would definitely make a big difference.

I do not believe I am necessarily smarter than those of you who didn't get in, but other than the fact that I was favored by The Creator, I was better prepared and was better able to convince the interviewers that I was a good match for FMN's core values; I better exemplified PIILOT.

I sincerely wish you guyz all the best in your sojourn and hope we meet at the top

P.S: An FMN official also actively follow this thread and attested to the fact that this thread, with all its benefits, also did a good job of misleading a lot of candidates.

Congratulations bro on your success at the interview. Pls, don't take our rantings too seriously, we were just frustrated at the disappointment and that no sucessful candidate had come forward to post on this thread, until you.

Like you said, disappointments hurt and often times one is likely to wonder what he said or did wrong during the interview, while the real reason maybe other candidates had perhaps a bit more to offer to the panel. That's the sad reality of our situation.

For me, I've quickly moved on. I'm days away from engaging somewhere equally as rewarding. It's just the thought of FMN seemed too flowery to let go; and having committed a lot of resources travelling from the PH to Lagos each time they called, I was naturally bitter at the outcome.

Your story is really inspiring and i hope we all learn from your perseverance and how you channeled past disappointments to a success story. Flour mills was really my first standard interview since POP last year ( The other was much more straight forward-no meandering questions) and perhaps, I was illprepared for the barrage of questions.

I wish you success at work and to the others, don't give up and success in the wars to come. I believe you'll all strike oil one day.

I also participated in the recruitment process n i crashed out, the truth is that failures hurt a lot n they r depressing n also frustrating especially when someone who paricipated with u got n appointment letter n u didnt get through d aptd test or interview, trust me, it hurts more than u think. However God has plans for everyone n at d appointed time He will pick ur call. I moved forward long since wen i got rejected n i av participated in other recruitment processes too, some of which r successful n the others not sucessful. If u ever fail or get unsucessful with any firm, just see it as a stepping stone n tell ursef "i av found one way of doing something n getting it wrong, next time by Gods grace i will get it right n i know one day i wil be succesfull n achieve my dreams."
Work harder, get out of ur comfort zone, sharpen ur skills, challenge ursef n u will see u can actually become better than u av ever imagined.

Warm regards!
