I thought the trend is as x increases from 10cm to 60cm, current and voltage also increase..

cc Natureboy91
it should be increasing,,,I think I know where our own connection is wrong

Please do explain better....
Are you a teacher or a student? Let me know so as to know how best to put my explanation

Do try and rectify it then. Let's try and perfect it before tomorrow. Have you found your way around question 1?

the setup is in school and am at home,,,for question 1,the motion of the metre rule will be coming to and fro like simple pendulum Bob more like jingle over?

there should be a 2 wire connecting to the Jockey,one directly from the voltmeter and the other from the one going to the bulb, I guess,check the diagram,i only connect one wire from voltmeter to the Jockey and I didn't connect anyone from the bulb to the Jockey,is this where am wrong?

How do we come about 6 ohms resistance for the bulb? Is the answer in the WAEC PQ correct?

thats true. Our data processing theory was like that. Please why?

I uploaded a video earlier on for the Q1, if you watched it and checked the diagram for the question, you will get the movement. It is not a jingle over

Q1: L(cm)> 80, 70, 60, 50, 40.
t(s)> 14, 13, 12, 11, 09.
Q2: M(g)> 10, 20, 30, 40, 50.
bi> 109, 118, 127, 136, 145.
ibroh22 type me the values from ur theory answer to Q3 snapped here so i can compare the values & make corrections before u take it to ur students. Sorry, am using java phone, dats why i cant see the pic clearly.

I said earlier on that both my ammeter and voltmeter didn't even move at all. Right now, i'm at the mercy of the formula i uploaded except if the apparatus in the centre where my students will be using tomorrow are working properly. But if i'm to go by the theory, i will be using E=2.5v

It depends on the resistance of the bulb you used. If you are using a new bulb, check the body of its carton, the resistance is writen there

I've seen two different readings in different past question. I feel that q3 is faulty, the answers were just manipulated. I did everything perfectly right but the bulb didn't come up, and both meter didn't read simultaneously with the bulb in the circuit

Then, what will be ur values for current and voltage?
Using

V=L2E/2L2-L1

and

I=V/R

where L1=x, L2=100-x, my own R=6ohms and E=2.5V

Use this to make a table for all values of x

Connect the (-) of ba3 to the end of potentiometer, Q, then (+) of ba3 to plug key down to the end of potentiometer, P, down to (-) of ammeter to (+) of voltmeter. Then, connect (+) of ammeter to the bulb down to (-)of voltmeter to the jockey. Hope, this helps: ibroh22, condomsir, readers.

It should be increasing & not decreasing. Current is directly proportional to Voltage. Use the values I gave u instead. It should go in 1s & not 0s. If nt why did they require of 0-5 A/Vmeter instead of 0-3 A/Vmeter.

Unfortunately, i'm using a small java phone right now. i used someone's phone to upload in the afternoon.

let me try to explain..

set up the apparatus as show in the diagram. Hold the two ends of the metre rule, now use your left hand to pull one end towards you and use the right hand to push the other end away from you. Now release the metre rule and allow it perform a to-and-fro movement about its vertical axis through its centre.

I hope this helps

yes,,, that's why I said my values are wrong,,the connection is not right,,I have two positive wire connected to the bulb,which shld not be so

this is horizontal movement,,the metre rule is moving on same plane

d readings for Q3 is logical.one needs to be careful.this is how it goes:
current is directly proportional to potential difference. bear it in mind that d value of V is always greater than I

Your V and I are suppose to be increasing oo

U got it right. Also, two points above can give u the vertical intercept. Thanks.
