I have been scheduled for clearance, and in the mail I received, I was told to print three copies of clearance form. However, on checking my profile, I couldn't find clearance form. For those who have been cleared, how did you get the form?

Don't worry about that, you will get it at PG cafe when you go for clearance.

Hello all, I'm not in Ibadan at the moment. Please notify me when room allocation begins, I heard one will still be in school to collect a sort of "authority to pay" form before we can actually pay and finally allocated to a room.

*UPDATE ON THE POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL FEES*

*April 4, 2017*

Sequel to meeting we had with the University management and the subsequent changes made to fees payable for Postgraduate students, we had another meeting with the outgoing Dean of the Post Graduate school, who also doubles as the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, for further clarifications of all details.

During the meeting with the Dean, it was made clear that nothing could be done to effect the changes due to the NASU strike that was underway and lasted for about two weeks. Recall that the industrial action crippled activities on campus, including the UI PG school.

Immediately we got wind of NASU'S suspension of strike, we contacted the Dean who then directed us to the Sub Dean of the PG school, Dr Adediran and the Head of ICT of the PG school, Mr Ajayi who are saddled with the responsibility of effecting the changes and clarify all details .

Earlier this morning , 4th April, 2017, we met with Dr Adediran (PG school Sub-Dean) and Mr Ajayi (the Head of Postgraduate School ICT) and the following clarifications and resolutions were made.

*(1)THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE NEW SCHOOL FEES SCHEME AND CHANGES ON THE PORTAL*
We were assured that before the end of this week, all changes would be effected on students' portal while a new invoice reflecting the changes would be made available on the portal.

*(2) PAYMENT IN INSTALLMENTS*
We were also assured that the agreement we had with the University management regarding payments in installments still stand. Thus, both new and returning postgraduate Students who cannot afford full payment could pay in two installments.

*(3) DEADLINE ON PAYMENTS*
We were assured that students have the whole of first semester to pay up their fees. However, fine on late payment of fees would take effect two weeks after the beginning of the second semester.
It is instructive to note that when we pressed for further shifts in payment deadline, we were told that experience from some past students show that some students take advantage of the school's magnanimity to boycott payments of school fees, even after graduation. Hence, both first and second installments must have been paid before the commencement of the second semester exams. Students who have not paid fully would not be allowed to sit for second semester exams.

*(4)ACCESS TO ACCOMODATION*
We were assured that students who pay in installment would have access to accommodation, hence, students that want to pay in installment could do so and use their receipt to process accommodation on campus.

*(5)PRINTING OF PAYMENT INVOICE*
Printing of invoice could be done in two folds; that is, when you log in to your portal, you would see the *"PAY IN FULL* option and the *"FIRST INSTALLMENT"* option. Those who want to pay in full should click the former to print an invoice reflecting the full fee while people who want to pay in installment are expected to click on the latter option to print an invoice reflecting the amount to be paid for first installment .
It should be noted that students who pay their first installment and subsequently want to complete payment would also be required to print another invoice reflecting the amount to be paid for the second installment.
*Kindly note that payments could only be made in two installments and all payments are expected to be made before the deadline to avert payment of fine for late payment.*

*(6)REFUND FOR STUDENTS THAT HAVE PAID*
Students who have paid the initial fee are also expected to seek refund of the amount reduced . A letter should be addressed to the Dean of PG school to apply for refund. A valid bank account details should also be provided in the letter. Be rest assured that your money would be refunded in no time.
For those that are yet to pay, it is still advisable to tarry a bit for the changes to be effected before we pay to avert unnecessary stress. Let us not panic as everything is under control.

*Thank you for your unflinching support, perseverance and cooperation. We await your views, opinions and feedback.*

NASU called off theirs last week friday officially.
Now ASUU has decided to strike so we back to square one. I think lectures will just be grounded nao. But PG school should still work efficiently since they are Non-academic.
