Good that this is coming from respectable Northerner. Please this administration should just leave our economy the way they met it having seen that they have nothing to offer but impoverishing Nigerians the more by excessive borrowing. Even the ardent BMCs cannot see anything wrong with these policy blonder. This administration has nothing to offer apart from selective corruption fighting.

PROFESSOR ISA HUSSAINI Of FACULTY OF PHARMACY UNIMAID WROTE!!!
The blame for what Nigeria has become falls on you and me. Not our leaders alone.
Our wickedness stinks to the heavens as we go about our daily lives, pulling down everyone and everything to become rich. We import substandard products, fake drugs and expired baby food unfit for human consumption and we have the nerve to complain about leadership?
We even steal from widows, orphans, and refugees. We take their food and sell it for profit. No conscience. Nothing is sacred. No one is spared. We build substandard roads, schools, houses, hospitals, all for profit at the expense of human life;an invaluable item which all our profit and contract sum cannot buy.
One would think this behavior is reserved for urchins but it would surprise you that this is the character of many decent looking people who appear to be normal but are not any better than boko haram members. They are church members, Muslims, husbands, wives and sadly youths.
We pervert justice and pretend we don't know right from wrong just to serve our selfish interests. Slave traders pale in comparison to what we do to ourselves. We are wickedness personified. So much hatred flows in our blood and we transfer it to our children. It's evident in what we say and do.
We have fasting and prayer sessions all year long, night vigils and deliverance when the actual problem is us. We simply cannot learn to love others. It's me, me, and me. That's all that ever matters. It's sickening. Anyone who can't love has no business in politics, Government and in Nigeria. Until we understand this, we will continue on this path of destruction. I can Change. You can Change. They can Change and We can change by Sharing and Spreading this message. Change starts with Me. Change starts with you. Change starts with each and everyone of us...

Obvious truth. Buhari's economic team and advisers are nothing to write home about.

The type he gave that 20bilin went missing under his care as cbn governor
I perceive sentiments eroding facts here. First U accused him of sycophancy, Sanusi is actually saying the truth, u don't have to bring political stances into everything. Secondly, the 20 billion that went missing "under him" was actually highlighted by sanusi and exposed by sanusi and was a major influence for him being removed....simply put, he exposed the missing 20bn and u wouldn't have known about it if he hadn't done so.... Thus next time try to make a valid point and not accuse his character without bearing

Critical sectors that needs urgent rehabilitation/development are neglected for luxury ones perhaps white elephant projects which adds no economic advantage to the country.

For how long are we going to be incurring more debts and servicing recurrent expenditure while critical sectors suffer.

Apt words sanusi but what solution do you have to these issues?
There is no use proffering solutions, because they will not be heeded to.

Nigerian politicians are demons.

They even play politics with the rehabilitation/development. So if we say for example that the government should focus on a top-down approach to revamp infrastructure for development starting with Nigeria's engine rooms--Lagos, Aba, PortHarcourt, and Kano; you'll start hearing debates like why should the North have just one when they have three zones. Why Aba instead of Onitsha. Why Lagos instead of Ogun. Why Port Harcourt instead of Uyo.

Nigeria's infrastructural deficit is over $100b at least. Yet Nigerians sat idly by while the NNPC refused to remit over $21b since 1999 (last year alone they refused to remit $4b under Saint Buhari). Contract inflation is not even a crime. There are no punitive actions against contractors who delivered uncompleted or substandard projects. Party corruption is sanctioned (as long as the corrupt person is in the ruling faction, it's okay).

So you see our predicament. Getting the funding is one issue. Using the funding effectively is an even bigger issue. For example, look at them borrowing money to construct light rail in the North. The one in Lagos is even justifiable, but as expected it is already way above budget and completion timeline.

Which is why when they go about trying to borrow $30b+ in a country where effective utilization of funding is a big issue, then yes it is justified to cry wolf. It is one thing to misuse money earned from oil and non-oil sources. It is a whole other thing to misuse money borrowed to be paid with what remains of our revenue after the government officials have stolen their bit.

Or do you think any of Nigeria's current officials give two f**ks about Nigeria's current debt situation? They're all set for life from their loot, connections they amass, businesses they set up using their influence, continuous feeding bottle system that guarantees steady money at least during every election. Even if Nigeria is $200b in debt and on sale at eBay, it doesn't affect the political class.

I have said it repeatedly that the Buhari government is not interested in the interest of the Nigerian people. I've not seen details of the blueprint but from the statement of the monarch, I can't help but sympathize with Nigerians on the mistake called Buhari and APC
The same loan GEJ took for the construction Kaduna-abuja light rail project, the same loan Gej took for the construction of five airport terminals the same loan Gej took for the construction of Zungeru hydroelectric project and many other loans packages from China with Lamido Sanusi as an integral part of Gej government then, but then it was not a mistake it was Transformation Agenda.

Sanusi is right on the railway something. If the railway doesn't help our industrialization it's not needed.

The FG should focus on reviving Ajoakuta and doing a North - South /East - West rail line that will transport heavy goods cheap. Light rails should be for state governments as it is basically an urban issue.
This is a very good master plan.
unfortunately nobody will subscribe to it, whyhuh?
Because you added west, south and East.

Nigeria is theirs, Nigeria we all serve

Why is it that when someone has an opinion contrary to PMB actions, you call it attack?

Can't a good citizen contribute to the growth of his own nation again?

What I see here is a breakdown of buhari's economic plan, such that a layman can understand it's implications.

“China will lend you $1.8bn to build light rail. This light rail will be done by the rail workers from China. The trains will come from China. The engines will come from China. The labour comes from China. The driver is Chinese.
“At the end of the day, what do you benefit from it? Your citizen will ride on a train and when you ride on a train, in northern Nigeria, in a state like Kano or Katsina, where are you going to? You are not going to an industrial estate to work. You are not going to school? You are not going to the farm. You borrow money from China to invest in trains so that your citizens can ride on them and go for weddings and naming ceremonies.”

This statement captures it aptly
I watched Sanusi speak at the KADINVEST 2.0 yesterday and you have no choice but to agree to points he raised as regards lack of education in the North. He highlighted the fact that the Northern elites are delusional and living in self denial.

I've been emphasizing on this before now. I see no reason why we should go for something that can not benefit citizens in terms of employment generation, technology transfer, sustainability of the economy. We can not grow when we count on these so called Westerners for help. Growth can only come within. We can be only instrument that can build this nation. Most foreigners mean no well for us.

You do not a full transcript of the paper he presented and do not know whether he properly acknowledged the source of the information yet you call him fake. He can only be fake and fraudulent if he didn't acknowledge but as far as I know you only rely on the little piece provided here which isn't enough to make a conclusion.

That aside, if you claim that the statement was made two years ago the question is what has the dullard at Aso Rock done about it. Has it changed him? Has it stopped him from being more clueless?
