Hello
Please I'm new on this forum, I applied for Canada tourist visa in January and last week vac sent a text message that they need additional documentation before they can process the application further. Please what does that mean and what kind of document do they need? Has anyone had this kind of experience before? Ive tried so many times to call vac office it keeps going to voice mail

Guys, stop lying about your past refusals on your form. And if you think, that filling in that you were refused in the past will cost you, your visa application - you should reconsider applying for that visa, but on the bright side, you might still get the visa because you didn't hide that piece of information.
Soon the Canadians won't send you messages asking you, to explain why you lied on your form and it will be straight up denial with no chance to explain.

lol. Maybe he chose the wrong answer because he's scared of being refused. The deed has been done already. He should have come clean. I met a guy last year while I was away. This guy said he was refused US 3 times, UK student visa 2 times and canada visa... but can't really remember how many times. In short, he submitted an application for TRV in 2014 and it was granted, 2 years+ multiple. He didn't hide anything because if he did, they would have caught him because of their data sharing agreement with USA...not sure of UK though . I'm not also sure if canada shares info with Australia and in case they do, good luck to him. He shouldn't bother to write CIC except he filled-in the 'NO' answer in the column provided inadvertently but in this case, he'd have to convince them beyond doubts in his letter. They may or may not know, especially if the passport isn't endorsed with a refusal stamp as before and if they don't share data with Australia. Pls tell him to come clean next time. Those oyinbos even like it when you come clean. If you're qualified for a visa, they'd give you, regardless of the number of times you've been refused. Refusal isn't an omen. It means try harder next time and address those points raised by the VO, which led to your refusal. I have been refused UK before and I've visited same uk severally since that time, other countries too.

I've already told you what needs to be done. If the error was inadvertent, then have your friend email them with strong evidence that it was indeed a mistake.

You're very correct... it's always good to come clean with your visa application. I got my TRV after a second attempt. I was refused Italian visa, reapplied and got it last year. I stated everything in my application, no hidden stories. Then I backed my application up with prayer and fasting.. To the glory of God, it came out well. As an icing on the cake, I've been called for an interactive session with the High Commission concerning the details of my conference. it pays to do your part and Trust God..

Quick question guys, for bank statements for TRV purposes, it's the latest month that matters right? As in you might have a low balance in earlier months but your final balance looks good.

It's even better the other way round if one may advise. It matters differently in different ways, but stuffing your account with some sort of nouveau cash close to your application time is a NO NO!
