Hmmm..... No man is perfect.... in fact.....He that is without sin should throw the first stone......after all. .. Who am I to judge? .... and with these drummed into the heads of non Bible reading Bible fetching "Christians" whatever MOG do is swept under the carpet.
Are Pastors sinless?...no. Can Pastors fall to temptations?..yes. Did this Pastor know he had fallen to temptation?..yes.What should he do as a Pastor according to the Bible which he should be following? .... step down from his position and praying for forgiveness and strength to overcome that weakness. Did he do that? ..maybe.. but if so not in good faith. What did he really do?... happily continue to lust after the flesh and commit adultery but at the same time the hypocrite would be proudly preaching. God has a way..... Suleman would be dragged from the pulpit into the gutter.....even if he seeks death.. he shall not find it.

Does he really knows you? Even of he does, does your esteem count? NO! He has said the truth and that is the only one thing that matters!!
Until you have won the number of souls he won, don't judge a man of God! Leave right and wrong to God!
I don't need your esteem top in case you need to abuse and insult me!

Lol. You are part of what is wrong with Christianity these days.

So no one can criticize your pastor? Is he God?

What souls has he won that you're talking about? Na you lead the souls go meet St. Peter at the gates of heaven? Iranu.

Am sure he knew what happened. Nobody is a saint that is true, but why would pastors spend big on OLOSHO but refuse to help their own congregation. This what really baffles me most.

A response of this kind would have saved Apostle Suleiman from the unwarranted embarrassment which drew the attention of so many social media gladiators.

He should continue now, when u fall, u rise again

I think the Bible will differ with you on that...In 1 Cor 5:11 - 13:
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within? But them are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

You might find it ironic that, that the scripture said Christians can associate with these kind of people, if they are sinners, but not to associate with them, if they are called brothers or sisters....but that is the Bible. The first group is the ones Jesus died for and must be reached, the second group have experienced His Grace and forgiveness but are living in deceit and sins, hence the strict judgement.

Sunday Adelaja's Take On Apostle Suleiman's "Scandal"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUZMvoREmzU

In this videoclip, a question was asked of Sunday Adelaja that What was his say on Apostle Suleiman's "scandal" in Nigeria and would it be right for him to step down if he is found guilty of the allegations?

Pastor Adelaja responded by saying that "We have to remove the notion of perfection of "Men of God," we have to throw it in the garbage. There is no one man of God that is perfect...., you will never find any man like that, there is no one, no individual on earth that is without sin" Pastor Sunday Adelaja went on to say that "For me nothing changes."

You can listen to the rest of his answer in the videoclip above.

Do you agree with him that no "Man of God" is expected to be morally perfect? undecided

I like this scandal story. It is a lesson to all dumb Nigerians who go about shouting "The God of Apostle Suleiman give me my miracle, kill my enemies, give me a job, kill witchcraft". We have been singing into your ears for years now to go and know God for yourself. Una no go hear word. We have heard Chris Okotie's own. We have heard Oyakhilome's own. We have heard of Bishop Wale One's own. There are those not yet caught even if it's not sex related. Oyedepo's own is hiding, Adeboye's own is hiding, Matthew Ashimolowo's own nah tax evasion, who else, name them. Stop following men, who feel righteous today and tomorrow are in sin and trying to cover it up. Follow Jesus Christ alone.

Honestly I lost my esteem for the man of God after listening to him.

He simply made immoral lifestyle among preachers look trivial and become a thing the society should easily embrace and get used to.

How would he know if the pastor involved has made peace with God, how can't he understand that for some pastors that very sin is deliberate and habitual.

How doesn't he easily understand that when a person falls into an immoral sin it becomes a bondage that one cannot easily let loose by just praying for forgiveness.

God exposes such people because He wants His people to withdraw from them and not just assume that they have reconciled with God.

Sunday Adelaja is totally wrong and is suspect in my view.
Are you Holy? No! So why are you casting stone by saying God is using person like otobo to expose his servants. God doesn't work that way if not by now top many acclaimed preachers would have being exposed including the holiest one. God has his own way of dealing with his servants and doesn't need to disagree them using lunatics.
You have forgotten that these preachers were men before they became Men of God. There's no much difference between them and us except the grace they carry. You're sounding as if men of God are Saints

One of the benefits of being on the street from a young age is knowing that women can be deadly.

Apostle helped her with money as he does for thousands each year

I too know he was set up and he didn't bang her, but by giving her money he has opened himself up to strong accusations because the number of men in Nigeria that can give money to a platonic friend with no strings attached is less then 5000 so who will believe that he is among the few.

This pastor knows Su-LAIR-man is guilty. He's just doing self service and face saving because he has been accused before.

If a cleric is found guilty of immorality, he/she should confess to the congregation and spend some time to make peace with God before contemplating any return to the podium.

Yea I agree with him coz we are all humans
Speaking not on the basis of Apostle Johnson Suleiman but on your comment that we are all humans.....

The fact that we are humans does not give us any right to commit sin or fall into sin.

Apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy (I Tim 3vs1,2) says This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless...... also speaking to the Ephesians (Eph 5vs3) "But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints" and we saw how he condemned the Corinthian that defiled his Father's wife (I Cor 5vs1 and 13). Furthermore, The sin of immortality is one that God frowns seriously at and if saints should not commit such, should LEADERS OF THESE SAINTS (who are also saints) commit such?? What message are we then passing to the world? the Bible rightly says "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" and the reply was God Forbid... (Romans 6vs1,2)

On this, we are all human.... It's not an excuse to go astray.....

And if this allegation is true, though God will still or has even forgiven, but it's a big shame to Christianity that our worldwide leaders cannot keep close walk with God and can even fall into Great sins like Adultery. so how will they expect we their flocks to live right...

MAY GOD OPEN OUR EYES SO THAT WE SEE REPROACH AS THEY ARE AND NOT ALLOW MEANINGLESS AND SATANIC QUOTES TO LOSE FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD AND EVEN HEAVEN ON THE LAST DAY....

I have like other Nigerians been following this story since it broke. I am not in a position to judge 'Apostle' Suleiman and I believe many of the people following the story are not in any way interested in judging him. What I am interested in is the truth. The lady has presented so many evidences of their relationship, almost enough to convince any jury of 'Apostle' Suleiman's guilt. It is not enough for him to just keep quiet and wish this away. If he did have a relationship with the lady, he should come clean and publicly admit it and apologize for his moments of weakness. Is there any man without a moment of weakness? It is just that it differs from one man to the other. He should not cover it up and say it is between him and God. Yes, it was between him and God when it was not known to us, but now that it is known, he should do the needful and admit his sins publicly and then he can withdraw for a period of time from ministrations while he settles with his maker. But if he denies, that makes him a liar and whatever work he does in God's vineyard as a liar is definitely not going to be acceptable in God's sight. He will eventually end in Hell if he continues like that to the end. My concern is more for the "Apostle's' soul than for any other thing. He established his ministry, no one can take it away from him by force. So what is there to be afraid of in owning up other than the loss of human respect? Is it not better to lose the respect of men, for a season, than to lose eternity after labouring so hard in the Lord's vineyard?

Christians are the only Soldiers who kill their wounded.

We are called to reconcile, where did we get this condemnation from?

We are eager to see a man of God fall and see the sheep scatter. In this case, we have taken side with the enemy of the Church tearing a servant of God down before we are even sure he did it.

Where is Jimmy Swaggart's Ministry? Isn't satan happy that the work of God there is ruined? Haven't we helped him(satan) ruin God's work?

Why aren't our focus on the sheep? Why only on the Shepherded? Is it the case of smite the shepherded and the sheep will scatter?

Instead of going on our knees praying for grace and restoration, we stand with the enemy and throw stones as though we have no sin.

Am totally against any form of immorality in the Body, but I can never find myself standing in public with the enemy of the Church casting aspersions on a fallen hero.

Let he that thinketh he stands, take heed lest he falls.

Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge the servants of someone else? It is their own Master who will decide whether they succeed or fail. And they will succeed, because the Lord is able to make them succeed.
