1. Jesus could have still refused to die because he had d choice. So victory began immediately he died.
2. Dat day was d only day there was no single demon on earth because every demon was in hell to fight Jesus (pls dnt ask me for biblical reference for this)
3. D day ur wife goes into labour can never be a bad day unless she dies in labor.
4. No single day is ever a bad day? God has made all days beautiful so it would rather be a sin seeing any God made as bad

It should be called 'bad' because of the experience of that day but because of what it represents which is the sacrifice for mankind(that is a good thing) it is called 'good friday'.

It is highly ironical to say there is anything good about that day. The day the son of God suffered and died like a criminal. What is good about the day? The suffering or the death judgement or the way he died? Why are we lying about the day by calling it "good" when the bible recorded that darkness covered the whole land for three hours after his death. why must we lie about the day?

Deutonomy 21: 23 NIV:you must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse. You must not desecrate the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

So if jesus really died on the cros it means jesus is under Gods curse, is not common sense to say God died on cross.

It is actually good bcs he paid the price for our redemption, our happiness, he sets us free from bondage and darkness... he declared us free!!!

Jesus died so that all our sins can be forgiven. At the moment he died our sins were forgiven which signifies a very great good Jesus did for human kind.

Secondly, the veil covering the Holy of Holies in the temple tore allowing every Christian to worship and communicate with God directly unlike the practice where sacrifices and priest make the communication on our behalf. Mankind was connected directly to God through the death of Jesus Christ.

Saints woke up that day and many people saw them.

Those who didn't believe Jesus was the son of God saw several miracles on that day that Christianity was uplifted.

Every thing about that day was a sacrifice towards upliftment of Christians which makes it a Good day. There are much more reasons.

it is called a good Friday not for Jesus but for us because its the day humans were liberated from bondage and had secure access to God without going through previous methods and a more secured salvation depending on how you go about it isn't that a good thing

No his death is synonymous to being in labor because i was about to be born.

if Jesus Christ didn't died that day, there won't be salvation for the lost soul. He died so that any sinner who accept him as his lord and savior after remission of sin can be saved. It is this salvation that Jesus Christ gave to us that made the day he died GOOD.

Humanly we can say it is "bad day"
But because of the meanings behind it It was a day to portray sacrifice, atonement of sins. A day our heavy laden is being laid down

Good day because that was the day He died for our sins and the door of salvation opened for mankind

It is Good because of the good intention Jesus had before He decided to die for mankind, and it ended well.
If they had known, they would not have crucified the King of the glory. HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY.

Why do people celebrate their birthdays? Why do people say "happy birthday" on a day when your mother went through hellish labour pains to bring you to this sinful world full of pain and suffering? Some mothers die giving birth, yet people try to mark or celebrate their birthdays if they can. It's because the result or consequence of that day turned out to be worth the pain. If a day in which a mother undergoes hours of racking pain to give birth to a child can be described with the word "happy", how much more the day when our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ underwent huge suffering & died to grant us freedom, pay the price of our salvation & redeem us from the curse of the law & the destructive power of Satan?

1.why did darkness cover the land after the death
2. why is it that ghost were roaming the street after the death?
3. why is it that some chrches dont eat meat, shout alleluia etc on dat day?
the reality is that friday was a dark day as recorded in the bible. the result of the death only came on sunday after the Resurrection. if jesus had not resurrected, there won't be any thing like salvation. therefore in my own opinion, friday is dark or sad day while sunday is good sunday.
