Having taking so long to appoint ministers, lets examine the biggest flops so far in pmbs ministerial appointments. No. 1 Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN- Minister for power, works and housing. Alot was expected from fashola based on his stint as Lagos state governor as well as his charm and charisma in various quaters, including his senate confirmation hearing. Amazingly, most of us did not see this coming, but after several months, there is nothing to show from the huge ministerial portfolio given to fashola. Am sure even pmb himself is wondering by now if he made a faulty selection . Power has gotten worse with no clear cut direction, same as works and housing. I therefore tag fashola's appointment as the biggest ministerial flop of this govt. Do you agree? |

Asides his pay, Fashola doesn't seem to be enjoying the posts... 3 ministerial positions I'm sure should hotter that previous position as a governor. I hope he delivers tho. |

You are so correct. But let's cast votes: Like if you think Fashola is an over-hyped flop Share if you think he has don well (darkness is your thing) harmless: |

It's pretty obvious his performance as a Governor was mainly due to the solid team he had working for him (which Ambode, fowler & co were part of). Now that he's at the federal level, working alone and with new teams, he doesn't seem to have same spark. Not to mention he is professionally a lawyer, and is clearly overburdened by his portfolio. Mr president undo his portfolio's please and appoint extra hands!! |

EnkayDezign:The bolded is self-deceit at its best. That guy is a failure, leve tribal sentiments and speak truth to power. Is that too hard for you ![]() |

That guy is a heavy spender...he spends carelessly to achieve anything and the budget of the Federal Government is not giving him that kind of freedom to be ruthless with the treasury. Also, most of the heads of the Ministries are quota system guys...they can't do much, they just need a professional that can help them with the nitty-gritty of the work at hand. Of course, Uncle Fash is not the man... For power, it is Bart Nnaji. Meanwhile, all the former governors are failures Jare...it now obvious that they did do anything when they were governors. |

I CAN REMEMBER HIS WORDS WHEN HE WAS A GOVERNOR, HE SAID A REASONABLE GOVERNMENT SHOULD FIX POWER WITHIN SIX MONTH. AND THERE HE IS, HE HAS NO IDEA ON HOW IT COULD BE FIX. APART FROM FASHOLA, ALL MINISTERIAL NOMINEES ARE BIGGEST FLOP IN THE HISTORY OF NIGERIA. AT LEAST WE DO HEAR FASHOLA NAME, THE REST HAS GONE INTO OBLIVION SINCE THEIR INCEPTION. |

Another Big Ministerial flop is Dr. Okechukwu Enyinna Enelamah, also known as Okey, M.D., CFA. It appears his ministerial job is now a side job as he focuses more on his private practise, even the website of his ministry has been on 2015 activities in 2017. Although some are of the opinion that he is being under utilised and would have fared better as minister for Finance. Or maybe he is not being properly supervised. Maybe he was put there as payback for laudering political loots and hence his side job is more important than the appointment. Nevertheless, He has not showcased anything close to his array of high profile educational qualification and global exposure in the world of finance. Below are his mammoth qualifications and exposure. 1. Enelamah earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1985. 2. He earned a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard University in 1994 where he was a Baker Scholar and Loeb Fellow. 3.He is a member of ICAN (1992) 4.He became a CFA in 1997. 5. He earned Dean’s List honours in his MBBS graduating class at the University of Nigeria, 6. He was awarded national prizes in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examinations. Enalamah worked as an Audit Senior and Consultant with 1988 at Arthur Anderson (now KPMG Professional Services). He later worked in the New York and London offices of Goldman Sachs in 1993 before joining Zephyr Management as an investment manager where he rose to Principal in the Johannesburg office between 1995 and 1997.Enalamah founded African Capital Alliance (ACA), a private equity firm, in 1997 where he served as CEO. |

Fashola is brilliant, smart and very good. Probably he should have been smart to refuse appointment. But that was not gonna happen. You must know that event the best will seem incompetent in a failed system. Okonjo Iweala knows this. The kind of colleagues and master you have is key to succeed in any system. |
