They and their family had plans for Easter but for them that didn't come to fruition. For their families , they never envisaged mourning a loved one on Easter day. What a tragedy, a scar that won't go away, every Easter from henceforth is for ever scared with the commemoration of the death of a loved one.
May the Almighty comfort their families and grant the deceased forgiveness and peaceful rest. It is well indeed. cry huh lipsrsealed angry

I am thinking that the N15b was meant for the rehabilitation of Nigerian transport system to improve safety.

What a senseless waste of human lives. In most cases, these accidents could have been avoided but for the recklessness of the driver and most often the passengers who sanction these drivers to drive at very unsafe speed. Often times these passengers would attack and demean anyone who dare suggest that the driver should slow down. These passengers act like they want to get to their destination "yesterday," and they end up getting there not alive but in body bags.

I had been on the receiving end of the vile vituperations from these "dare devil" passengers [who think that they have nine lives] simply for admonishing the driver when he was passing another vehicle in a very unsafe corner. At least any good driver should know that you do not pass another vehicle unless you have a clear view of the road ahead of you. But in Nigeria, drivers pass each other in places that is clearly a "NO Passing Zone." Also, a lot of Nigerian drivers drive while impaired albeit with alcohol or drugs and they drive like "bat from hell."

May God grant the souls of the departed eternal rest!
