We also captured Ilorin, killed their local King and installed our Fulani Emir. We took that ancient town away from the barbarian Yoruba and their filthy pagan gods. We liberated all these places and all these people by imposing Islam on them by force.

It was either the Koran or the sword and most of them chose the Koran. In return for the good works of our forefathers Allah, through the British, gave us Nigeria to rule and to do with as we please.

I used to think Yorubas are well mannered and respectful people with the way they almost lie on the ground in greetings and bow but the display is pretence reading the way they buttress their points on Nairaland .

Mr, the five eastern states suffered three years bombardment, blocked and relentless military assault for three years courtesy of Britain and other world powers. After the war 1967-1970, the federal government refused taking responsibility of its roads in the region. hence the bad state of federal roads.I am sure if you region suffered all of that and the seaport and others including unending federal help from resources taken from parts of the SE/SS used on projects in your region ,you won't be talking this poo.

Competition breeds improvement. Even if Igbo were the only successful group per excellence, competition would force other groups to make moves and climb up the ladder. So, because everyone would realize their greatest weakness and work on 'em.
