Actually not just to be rich but to be satisfied with life. The poor Nigerians might not know this but living a simple way of life is very satisfying psychologically. Rich Maasai's will still prefer living simple lives and they actually build mansions in the Maasai style in the heart of the vegetation. I have lived with many Maasai and can tell you, if there are people who find life worthwhile and satisfying its them. They can't even understand why urbanized people commit suicide like in Nigeria

Maasai are proud people. I met one who as a student in Piloting in SA still took cattle beyond Kenya as they have been doing for ages. They go as far South as Zambia.

Nairobi is beautiful no doubt.
The only problem and eye sore of Nairobi are the slums. Lagos is almost 10 times the size of Nairobi yet only one slum (less than 1% of the population) but Nairobi has dozens of slums (50% of the population).

It's so terrible.

I have been to Accra and i attended church there. Majority wore Western clothes.
Only very few Ghanians flaunt their kente unlike Nigeria where it is so popular and the fashion industry is now a multi billion dollar industry.
