Swahili People are the indegenes of Mombasa and the kenyan coast in general. The city is quite powerful, being the biggest port between Capetown and Durban, this side of the continent

Mombasa don't need to match Abuja, It's cool already being a old cities. Abuja is a new city and a lot of changes happen on daily basis. Abuja was planned base on the flaws of lagos but what makes me like Lagos is that it keep pushing to meet up with demand of the people. Uyo, portharcourt, Calabar, enugu are also nice but portharcourt is not meeting up as population grows.

Yea,mombasa is an ancient city that served as a melting point for the bantu-arab interconnectivity,leading to the birth of swahili,the portuguese mix-fort jesus,the oman arabs and their arabization of east africa etc,i love the regeneration of the coastal city,portharcourt was on track under amaechi,but the present dispensation is just nauseating to say the least.
