This was probably caused by a right engine fire which was extinguished. Unfortunately, the right engine actually controls the air conditioning system. Thus, the smoke would have found its way into the cabin inadvertently.
The pilot however should have declared an emergency and landed immediately. Flying on except he wasn't close to any airport was not nice at all... It would be nearly impossible to remain calm in that circumstance

Bunch of dunces, instead of conserving air they're wasting it on shouting.

There's a reason the pilot asked them to be calm.

Air is the safest but most times avoidable errors cause crashes. Thank God for their lives.
There's no unprofessional pilot up there but there are more unprofessional drivers than professional drivers down here.

This is a country where by nobody cares about anybody, this fucking airline company should be close down immediately for putting people lives into serious danger. I read stories here everyday and it looks like every minute and hour people just die and nobody seem to care.

Perhaps more air travelers need to know more FACTS about how planes operate and all the regulations put in place for passengers' safety. It could help them compose themselves better (like that Asian in the video)

By the way, whoever took that video violated the instruction to switch off all mobile devices...

Switching off cell phones entirely depends on company policy.
Some allow phones on flight mod.

In b/w the only reason why phones are turned off before the flight mode invention was just cos of radio interference. Imagine hearing that stupid sound u hear when u fone is close to a radio in the cockpit.
