Noticeable Problems with these photos and the operation in general.

1. Lack of flotation equipment. - Totally inexcusable.

2. Lack of Bulletproof vests on many of the Officers. - Only a handful have bullet proof vests and helmets on.

3. Lack of Air support. - A helicopter should have been over head giving the ground troops Intel on movements ahead of them.

4. Lack of proper boats. - I see a few fiber boats and canoes but by now the Police in these areas should have hovercrafts to navigate the creeks with more ease. They are all sitting ducks for an ambush.

5. No Radios - So how will they communicate inside that jungle.

6. Improper dressing - Imagine the Police wearing bright coloured reflective jackets entering inside bush to hunt down criminals. Some are wearing that bright blue uniform which also makes them stick out and gives dem no cover.

This is why our security in this country is going nowhere.
And to make it worse, the OP follow dem, dey hawk mumurism

A journalist with the Nigeria Police Force, Malik Nasir, has revealed his terrifying experience after embarking a mission in search of kidnappers in Lagos creeks. Read what he shared on his Facebook page below;

Sometime in February 2017, one Rapid Response Squad patrol team was attacked in Igbo Nla in Epe. I had followed a back-up team in response to the distress calls. It was one of the swiftest journeys I have ever embarked upon with the patrol team of RRS officers.

With the team, led by its fearless RRS Commander, ACP Olatunji Disu, taking the lead and combing forest after forest to rescue kidnapped victims, it was a very scary operation. I was the only civilian among the team of about 20 men.

Yesterday, it was yet another scary adventure. We had more civilians on a boat ride to the Island of kidnappers, somewhere in the remote creeks of Ishawo. This time, the team was led by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, with ACP Olatunji Disu in the team.

Among the civilians were the Lagos State Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, his assistant, Mr. Ekene Okoro, and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Malik, the Crime Editor of Nigerian Tribune, who by fate made the team and I.

Surrounded by heavily armed men, it was a scarier adventure, navigating unknown (to me) creeks of Lagos via Majidun River.

For close to an hour, the team was ferried on Lagos Police Gun Boat from one location to the other until we are joined by more men, who later took fewer journalists to the kidnappers hideouts where about 30 suspects kidnappers had been picked earlier for questioning.

Please see in pictures the journey that almost made me wee - wee in my pant.

They were lucky to have made back unscathed because they were just sitting ducks if they had ran into any ambush

You are searching for kidnappers(militants) with this kind of boatshuh

People wey you dey search dey use 800(or above) horse power engine for one boat and una use dis 'market boat' to go hunt for kidnappers for creek..

Abeg, oga journalist, no follow them go dis kinda waka next time.

Careless waka!!
This is not even boats but canoe with engine. This is sad because while our politicians are getting sophisticated in being fantastically corrupt our infrastructures are still from the 40's.

Fighting crime requires multi approach, all of you shouting the boat is terrible I think that's the best boat to use because it won't make noise and cause would not cause the suspects to see them first. Nigeria police force if you don't know work harder than police in the US and UK combined. Those places work with database, here nothing just old methods and they get things done.

Probably because the rest can swim like fish.

Every member of the armed forces should know how to swim, especially the elite special groups.

Just take a look at the waters and see what the Nigerian government has done to Niger Delta people
The title says Lagos creeks, so I believe we're looking at the creeks in Lagos, and not that in the Niger delta
