Sometimes I wonder why there is so much emphasis on going to church. Those who stay back at home are chastised by 'the christians'. Come to think of it, how many people go to church genuiunely to serve God? How has hearing the Word made great changes in their life? Remember, not every one that calls Him 'Father, Father' will inherit the kingdom. Some people with concern for the feeble and downtrodden are not regular church goers. Too much ado about seed sowing in church. I think what matters is reading the bible and applying it in our daily lives to be 'saved.' |

Very true. But not going to Church is also d surest way to loose ur salvation. because d simplest way Devil can succeed in getting u is to isolate u from d gathering of d saints. St Paul advised Christians not to be as foolish as those who forsake d gathering of d righteous |

Still, one who goes to church is prone to recieving salvation more than you who sits back at home. |

Brother, That's very true.....however, "not" going to church is also detrimental. Also, followers of Christ have been admonished to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves..." Hebrews 10:25 for some reasons. The church serves a purpose. It is not for show & entertainment. When believers come together...they are supposed to 1. Encourage one another through fellowship/testimonies/mission reports. 2. Be spiritually refreshed through the sermon 3. Be prepared to minister to souls for the new week. We are not "islands" to ourselves. I know many churches fail in the above mentioned areas....but that is still not a reason to not attend. |
