It is not a false news. Airtel rolls out means it is in the process of doing the roll out. Airtel has awarded the contract to ZTE at the expiration of Huawei's contract with them.

Airtel-ZTE contract is basically swap of BTS/RBS (Base Telecom Station BBU) from Ericsson to ZTE. Installation of LTE is not part of the project for now. Until Airtel and ZTE reach an agreement on that (swapping of 3G to LTE), the information herein is wrong.

All these depends on location.

Happy to know dat airtel is the Nigeria’s leading mobile Internet service provider (cos dat is what am using to type in this humble comment of mine) but what of smile n spectranet? can sombori explain this?

Airtel is using Ericsson RBS in Nigeria. If I'm wrong, kindly tell me whose equipment Airtel uses.
Note: it might depend on region.

Swapping or cutover from UMTS to LTE using the LTE Triband antenna that has frequency range of 564-960 (for LTE 800- it can accommodate 2G 900MHz band) and 1710-2690 (For LTE 2600MHz - has 4 ports and can house 3G 2100MHz and LTE 2600MHz).

A bit over a year ago I dumped my MTN and GLO lines for an Airtel. So far I've not been disappointed at all as their HSDPA service availability and quality within and outside Uyo has been quite decent. There may be a few coverage issues that'll probably require the notice of their Optimization crew. But again, so far so good. 'cant wait to access the 4G service.

What of Huawei BTS? You mean antenna swap/upgrade. Ok.

I don't know about them usng Huawei BTS. It's possible they do. I just know about South West region and Benin region.
