Hello team, while I am not acting as a spokes person for firstbank, I can confirm that the bank just changed its model by pushing more people to market facing functions. I believe this is the cause of the delay being experienced. I strongly advice you Fellas to plant in every field you can find, you don't know which will germinate. Even we working in banks are quietly plotting our exit strategies. The field is green. See you at the top
Wow... thanks for the response... God bless you, you are right, have a family friend working with first bank, he is also planning his exit strategy... oga o

why are people planning to leave na, does it have to do with their posting to marketing departments?

People leaving isn't an issue. Everyone in Nigeria is looking for a job. A friend left NBET to NDIC. People move for career prospects, better pay , job security et al.

In response to all, there is nothing more fulfilling than your own business. Yorubas say "ise de, omo alaseje, owo de, omo alasela. Its Meaning in my own light is: a job will give you your daily bread, but, business builds wealth. People are planning their lives nooni. If you will work in any sector, have a plan. Don't just get there and get comfortable like it's your dad's business. That's the reason many bankers retire broke. I am not impressed with many ppl who worked their entire life in banks. Many of them get out high and drop to ground zero within a span of two years. It happens to other sectors, but it's common in the banking industry.

lols... only those at the head office can give a tangible info, most people at the branches don't know anything again, most just wake up, go to work, come back, plan on the way forward, FBN has not really been itself for a while, I doubt if they will even continue with d recruitment anytime soon,my thoughts sha

"Notwithstanding what we have achieved so far, we will continue to focus on operational efficiency to further improve current results. Currently, we are implementing the First Share Service (FSS) initiative which aims at centralising transaction processes at the branches. This ensures that the Commercial Bank optimises its human resources, leverages the technology platform and frees-up resources for market facing activities including revenue generation. Furthermore, the ongoing implementation of our ERP/ERM project in addition with other initiatives including the Group Share Service project, will fundamentally change the way we operate and further drive down operating cost."

You corrected him in a mature way. Thumbs up.

Within the first 2 weeks of May, something should come up from FBank.

But, please are you aware of (even if informally) the prime reason why the recruitment is being delayed? Thanks.
