Pls advice....I have a degree in geology and a m.sc in geology. I have some experience in the oil and gas industry but currently I am looking beyond the industry for opportunities. I am currently getting my hands on Python and GIS. Please I need advice on things I can do to get myself busy and possibly earn some cash. I am open to learning new skills. Thank you.

I read Geography and Planning. We make use of GIS. You can focus well on GIS, learn it so well and be your own Boss like few of my lecturers who have their own GIS Firms. They provide GIS services to companies and O&G. These lecturers were d ones ruling my Dept in school.
I also need 2 brush up on d software tho.
Going 4 a Phd? Msc is already OK in my opinion. What you just need is a little knowledge of everything(of ur interest by d way) on your belt becos d world keeps evolving so that whatever opportunity comes your way, you would have an idea. " A man who knows little of something is BETTER than a man who knows nothing about it".

Pls aw did u get job in an oil and gas firm? I need TIPS becos I'm currently looking towards that area. I'm about 2 go 4 my NYSC.
Any help would be so grateful.
