MURIC just made a press statement in which they said they will make Ekiti State ungovernable if Give Fayose goes ahead with his plan to demolish some mosques he feels are wrongly situated. View the above thread for more. The governor gave good reasons and made it clear that it is not an attack on Islam, yet MURIC claims he is fighting against Islam. Why should a worship centre be situated in a petrol station? That is like disaster in waiting.

We recall how a certain northern promised to make Nigeria ungovernable when Good luck Ebele Jonathan won the presidential election. We also know what happened afterwards- the Boko Haram menace that has destroyed countless lives and rendered many displaced. Here is a similar issue in the rise with MURIC saying they will extend the level of chaos in Ekiti to the entire Southwest of Nigeria, the only region that has enjoyed peace for some time now.

Before things get out of hand, I will advise MURIC to seek solution in the court of law. Churches do get demolished or sealed by governments in Nigeria, yet we hear no call for calamity from the Christian populace and we see no retaliation when a church is burnt in northern Nigeria. Why is MURIC threatening fire and brimstone cos a legitimate government wants to do its duty of averting danger? Shouldn't they be toeing the peaceful part of their religion?

I call on the necessary authorities- the Police, DSS etc to summon MURIC for questioning cos their utterance is equivalent to treason and call for destabilization of the nation's peace.
