Zane2point4:Nigeria already ordered for some units of JF17. Delivery was delayed due to twin seat version of the aircraft which just finished trials few days ago. 3 units are expected to be delivered this year and others later on. We're currently expecting 3 units of super mushak from Brazil and 12 from US for COIN . 5 Likes

Zane2point4:I was just itching to see what would be displayed, then I saw those puny, ancient things called war planes. I remember watching a YouTube video of a Nigerian alpha jet landing in a UK airport.the air controllers couldn't hold back their laughter. And if someone quotes me and say this is Africa, we don't have or need jets like F-16s, then I will gladly point out to you that Uganda bought two of these sukhoi jets from Russia. Zane2point4:Thing is we're not ready yet and even the Western/Russian sellers know it. We would rather siphon the money than buy modern equipment. Even if we bought new ones, we will not maintain them. So they keep selling us obsolete ones that would cost them money to recycle or not needed for their war museums.
