Lol. I knew all this while. It is the political liliputans who were jubilating.

Hope they are not planning a coup? Only Abacha is missing to complete the Fantastic 4.
No, only danjuma is missing from the list of 4 useless old generals

Then who will ?

The youths are still playing with sand outside

Youths that are so biased ethnically & religiously

Youths that sees nothing in corrupt politicians?

Abi which youth are you talking about?

If the likes of baba awo, great zik and sardauna of sokoto can give advice from their grave it's better than what we have around now
Thanks for this piece bro, I was saying this exact same thing to my younger bro yesterday. If today's youth can't stand for themselves, no one will. These so-called old cargoes fought as youths during their generation, and they are enjoying the dividends now (albeit to our disadvantage).

Let them sit down and be dancing to the tunes of their leaders who have pre-occupied them (the youths) with trivial issues (e.g inter-tribe/inter-religious wars)while they meet in secret to share the loots.

The gathering of the hawks. They don't agree on a good day but anytime they gathered, expect something unusual. Where is theophilous Danjuma the fourth hawk
The question should have been where is General Yakubu Gowon? Afterall, he is also a former Head of State and like the other 3, a retired Army General!

Absolutely nothing would happen if something happens to Osibanjo. Nothing at all.

The only possible outcomes after such an event would be that the Buhari cabal would quickly appoint one of their own as Vice President, or if that isn't possible due to Buhari's in disposition, then Saraki would be eminently pleased to take the reins of Power.
You really don't know anything about Nigerian Politics. I guess you are very young. Ask your father or uncles the meaning of NADECO and you will know how dangerous it is to pull the Tiger by it's Tail!

We are talking about power politics and high wire dangerous intrigues nd you're here mouthing NADECO? You're clearly the young one.

NADECO that was a toothless bulldog that made noise only in the pages of Lagos/Ibadan newspapers? Was it NADECO that killed/removed Abacha, or did NADECO's noise help Abiola reclaim his presumptive mandate, or even help him escape the Northern death verdict on his head?

Think well my son. Yoruba noise in the media is all that would happen if anything happens to Osibanjo (I pray nothing happens to the man though). Nothing more. Nobody would take to the streets, and Nigeria wouldn't boil. The South West does NOT have the suicidal almajiri foot soldiers to cause trouble. Na so so hedonistic, champagne socialist, and arm chair 'hactivists' the South West get. That's all there is to the matter.

These are the real leaders of this great Nation and what they are doing is what ought to be done.Even in advanced democracy of the US,past leaders are consulted and also meet each other to influence critical decisions that will affect the nation.

But wait o! where is the ineffectual buffoon, was he not invited to this meeting that will decide the faith of our dear country?
Hmmmm! This validates what Obasanjo said about him that he is too small for the presidency. The Ogogoro drunker does not have any political weight, not even in his party, the PDP where governors and party stalwarts disrespect him.
I strongly believe these three leaders have taken a decision on the way forward if the inevitable happens.
anybody who isn't from their accursed coup plotting military class is deemed unfit to rule I guess..bloody civilians have no experience in administrating the country..get the fvck off here!

You 3 are Nigerian Heroes. You left the Majestic Legacy of 36 States structure for Nigeria. This was the Saving Ground that prevented Obama from liquidating The Country you have worked for all your lives. Please advise your Colleagues in The NASS to protect this Legacy and seek with the other Legislators to make them fully autonomous. May Allah protect the 3 of U and Nigeria.

Hehhehehe...I have been wondering who smuggled Kingibe back to power, until I realized Buhari's Chief of staff, who is almost inexperienced in handling that office, employed Kingibe to be his own Chief of staff. So indirectly, Kingibe is the Chief of Staff to Buhari.

Hahahahaha...now thats the defintion of cabal

you can see that no igbo man is a member of "the meeting of the generals" no wonder the igbo man is relevant in the scheme of thngs. in the beginning, the hausa cried for only six months, but the igbos are crying for sixty years now. i am very convinced that they will cry for six thousand more years.

Thanks for this piece, I said this same thing u said to some people then wen Buhari was still in London. I told them that if he didn't make it back, the North would neva handover to Osibanjo because the northern block won't let wat happened that put them in a disadvantaged position during Jonathan reign to repeat itself. And they re more willing and ready to go dirtier than the Boko Haram used in destabilizing Jonathan.....They said I didn't know Wat I was saying , bt wen u look at recent events, u would understand that the threat is real.

. Just last week, Junaid Mohammed,a core northern elder said sth abt the present situation in the country and it was deep bt looked ordinary to undiscerning minds ..

They re trying to hold on till a very appropriate time bt we should be rest assured that if the inevitable happens, they won't allow Osubanjo take over the reins of power

All the noise and troubles by Osibanjo's kinsmen will be just be on the pages of newspapers, nothing more and nothing less..

You must be talking about youths like you.
You are a fool! That's the only response you deserve, but I will go a bit further to ask: what is the most popular industry in Nigeria today? (answer: entertainment). Who is making it so? When a quality is ascribed to a very large group of people in the millions, does it apply to every last one of them? Only a mumu will answer to the affirmative. By the way, it is "youth" that use nairaland, but I'm in my mid-forties. Go figure!

To be honest I have no freaking idea where dafuq you are coming from, so I am not gonna hit you.

FYI, the guy I quoted is a known political ass-licker, hence my response.

The response wasn't even sarcastic, and yet nobody seems to get it. Should I blame the teachers? grin

Again I have no idea where you stand, since your sentences are all over the place. But if you are behind sarrki...good for you grin

Hey...Insult seems to be most peaceful way of resolving issues in Nigeria. The recession must be a mudafucker...ok bye
