Good day fellow nlanders, I've been thinking so much about starting a little shop to help assist my family. I am a fresh graduate who doesn't believe in waiting for job opportunity, but now I'm in a dilemma of starting up a business center which would handle computer related issues such as a cyber cafe, printing, repairs, deigns and probably sales of computer or a franchise betting shop. So please those with ideas about both should kindly help me out with ideas on which is best and easier to startup, why and which would bring more income. Thanks

considering cost, patronage and other factors. ....I advice u to go for sport betting.

Both are very lucrative businesses that would yield good income but, I would suggest you do a thorough research and consider the following;
1) Do you have an idea about how to run any of these business? Yeah it's easy for one to say "I have the cash at hand. Let me just start the business and employ someone there to manage it". Not a bad idea though, after all you're creating room for employment. But, in most cases, knowing nothing about the business you intend to venture into creates pitfalls on the long run. It's better you have in in depth idea of what and how the business works before venturing into it. Abi you no won make your business grow?

2) Is there a need for the cafe or sports betting business? If set up (either of them), which do you think will gain more patronage in your vicinity? Marketing strategy!!!

3) Both require power to set up. Which of them, if set up, will you be able to manage when it comes to power consumption? Which of them will enable you get more profit enough to make you feel only a pinch of pain when it comes to power consumption? Power is a vital key for growth in business.

4) Both require data. Which of these business will make you consume less data during operation which will in turn, give you more change in the pocket?

5) What is unique in your own kind of business, be it cafe or sports betting? There's a 30%-50% probability that someone within or close to your vicinity has already set up one of such business. That should not stop you. Just think of one unique thing you feel you will add to the business that will attract more customers than the already existing competitor. The popular saying, "it's not about who is best but about who is first" works only in some cases. Mr Biggs came before Sweet Sensation but the latter is gaining more patronage than the former. Make you do research if na lie.

After looking at these points and you're still not convinced on what to do, I advice you follow the one that is trending and see how you can adapt to it. Best of luck!!!

Its going to be more like a business center where all computer activities will take place from repairs to designs, etc
