Don't mind him. He is only after their passport. I said this earlier. I knew that was his motive but unfortunately, that country has tough immigration. Don't even dare them cos they will fish out your motive. They believe u can't be coming to Namibia of all places when u have SA and other touristic Southern African countries.

I can't just rap my head around that. Do you know that 500k can pay for the Visa application (with exclusion of any medical/police report or VFS charges), for Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, USA, Brazil all together.
And you will still have a lot of CHANGE remaining

What exactly were going to Namibia to do, that made you so desperate

What type of Visa did you apply for, what reasons have the Namibian immigration officers given you, that is making them deny you passage

Did you show good prove of accommodation?
Did you show prove of financial backing?
Did you book a Round/Return flight (necessary in cases of a Tourist/Visit Visa)
Did you convince the immigration officers at the checkpoint on the Purpose of your Visit
You need to convince/explain to them reasonably..
And as a Nigerian you probably need to have a GOOD reason for coming into the Country


Note, in most Countries, A visa doesn't guarantee you free access to enter the Country, you will most likely be subject to Immigration control officials..

It's normal, even in the West, that's why occasionally some people are turned back to their Country despite arriving at the airport of their Visa destination with a Valid Visa. IT HAPPENS.

If USA embassy gives you Visa in Nigeria, and you travel to JFK USA, on arrival you can still be denied access to the Country, the will send you back on a return flight, though it's not rampant, but it happens occasionally, sometimes the give reasons, sometimes the don't Give.

Been following up this pastor for years and during that time I also met a Namibian lady via his page and we started talking too, we got intimate without seeing each other and it actually felt real not because am seeking for this citizenship or planning to marry her for selfish reasons and leave her, I know you might be thinking that but seriously I actually felt something in there sincerely and I knew meeting her will be awesome.

Am not justifying my actions but I also believe its not the end of the world and I get back to feet because am really broken now.

After 1 year of talking and getting into each other, we decided to take our relationship to the next level. The lady moved from her parents house wanted to rent a room but she decided to rent a flat in our names which she sent me copies of the agreement and receipt. We both agreed that I will come over and we can leave happily there because of the same believe " Namibia is very peaceful and better than Nigerian to build a home and raise our kids". I have a good knowledge of IT and I studied Computer science she said she will introduce me to her uncle who will give me a better job but he has to see me first because when she told him about me, he said he doesn't trust Nigerians so I have to make him believe am really in love with this lady.

i would never be one of those to criticize you because everyone thinks all fingers are equal..they are pretending like they dont know how things work in nigeria...many embassy staffs collect money to help people push their visas..if you refuse to pay you will not get the visa..the same thing happens at the airport when you refuse to settle your flight will be delayed..if you are lucky to apply for visa and you meet the right person and no one demanded anything from you.thank your stars..dont come online and criticize someone..the annoying part is..you guys didnt even allow him finish his story..escpecially the so called moderator @justwise,always jumping..so annoying...its your chioce if you want to stay in nigeria..please dont force anyone to stay..its a free world...all i can say to you man is...i hope you are ok now?hopefully you will be allowed to enter and you can settle with your girlfriend and then change your status..yes many nigerians travel to oyinbo mans country on tourist visa and then change their status...STOP THE HYPOCRISY

Yes, but you heard him claim Nigerian. They will insult Nigeria and curse the country but once they are in trouble abroad they start seeking pity and claiming they were harassed due to being a Nigerian

It is affecting me because I come from the same country and people like this make it difficult for others with genuine reasons to go there. If you can't see this then you need to change your orientation

yes u are right .. but u also no DAT sometimes in a form dey ask if u have anyone residing in DAT country u want to visit or stay with ..
. did u no what he filled there he might fill he doesn't have and he's going strictly for holiday or sight seeing ... maybe at airport only to say he want to visit someone in d country .... am not blaming him ...this is experience and we are still waiting for d remaining stories so DAT to Add to our experience too

I never intended to debate with someone like you, what am I debating here, do you think it's good to be selfish, why didn't he apply for the right visa if he was truly going for settlement. There is absolutely nothing wrong if he decided to marry the lady and relocate but why will he do that on a wrong visa category and start shouting that he's being badly treated because he's a Nigerian?

You have to accept the fact that you were not detained for no reason. It's not right to come online and say that the namibian immigration were not fair when you actually intend to enter Namibia under false pretense and abscond. Corruption is soo rife in this country that we no longer even know right from wrong.

Having said that, i think a lot of Nigerians travel abroad under false pretense too. It's only when they get there and settle down that they start to debase other people's hustle. How many of the people attacking the guy traveled abroad genuinely. It's either you went through school or supposed visit and then changed your status afterwards.
