Hi naiaralanders, my name is Godsgift. I want to be an Actor.I am Bsc holder living in Lagos Nigeria. Acting is my passion. I've bin Acting since I was in 14yrs old (school plays and church dramas). I'm currently in training becos I want to be an actor with a difference. But there are some questions that have been flooding my mind for some time now and I need your honest opinions...
(1) Does anyone know online sites, offline places I can go to get Audition notices here in nigeria?
(2) Does anyone know how lucrative the Trade is ie how much a new/working actor/actress gets paid in nigeria?
(3) What other jobs do Famous Nollywood actors engage in especially when roles are not coming? With the flamboyant lifestyle most of them live, I wonder if its the pay they get for movies they solely live on
(4) I love theatre, can you please recommend a good theatre comapny or Drama group I can join to horn my craft here in Nigeria.
(5) I hear of Asaba and Enugu movies, how does a new actor be a part of it. Does anyone have infos on there productions (auditions and shooting)
6) My friends say my dreams can neva be realised. I dream to oneday be the first Nigerian to win an Oscar (Academy Award) and put my great country Nigeria on the global map. Kenyan Actress Lupita Nyongo did it for Kenya, so can I. So please if u have any info on getting to Hollywood. Pls share...

You said you are currently training to be an actor, then you should be willing to test the street knowledge of your instructor.

How actors and actresses earn money is mainly through commercial endorsement, favour from fans and admirers, business which are often in food, fashion and real estate.
