Asaba is 100% an Igbo city. Joe Achuzie was a respected and ruthless Biafran soldier, Asaba indigene and Igbo man who fought for his kith and kin in Biafra. He wrote a book about his war time battles called 'Requiem Biafra'

He was one of the most feared officers of the war and a former secretary general of Ohaneze ndi Igbo

Yes other tribes of Niger Delta are saying they are not part of Biafra. Yes they chose not to be so that the oil wells can be controlled by their northern masters. Check it out if the oil wells were in d north wud any southerner dare to own a drop not to talk of oil wells?Former Senator Ita Enang said that 90% of the oil wells were owned by d north that made the likes of Dantata, Danjuma and others so wealthy. With ur one Nigeria ur land is destroyed with oil spills without compensations and other benefit that oil brings. Adaka Boro that fought against Biafra and Ken Saro Wiwa that was among those that looted igbo houses in PH after d war were are they now?
The continued division of the southerners is what waters the control of d resources by the north over d south. What is keeping the north as part of Nigeria is the oil in the south. Believe me if the north gets oil today in huge commercial quantities the marriage called Nigeria wud end and d north wud never want to share a drop with the south

Asaba was in the Mid Western region. Biafra was the Eastern region. That people from Asaba fought on the side of Biafra doesn't mean Asaba was a part of Biafra. After all Col Banjo fought on the side of Biafra and he was a Yoruba man.
