I am so happy seeing that every PCM is waiting for the much anticipated 18 of May 2017. But I would like us to have something in mind,no matter what,the service would surely come and go and that leaves the big question" What next after service?" . I would Implore every one of us here to start thinking about this before even going for camping and start planning wat to do right from day one so that when the time comes, we are all prepared for it.
Yes, we are all going to serve our Father's habi na Mother's land but the truth is the government does not care about us and does not care if corpers are living above standard or below standard it is up to every prospective corps member to sit down and think "what would I do to benefit my self and sustain myself "? It is time every Prospective Corp Members should sit down and reason what skills am I to learn that will give me edge over others. Education qualification is not enough in Nigeria today,having a first class or a distinction is not enough in Nigeria today so it is high time we reason and see how we can utilize any where we are being deployed to so as to make hay while the sun shines.
Yes,It is not easy but no story without an history and no victory without a war. Let's start thinking how we can create the connections, learn a skill and even start a trade where ever we are being posted to and never you despise any job. HAs a corp member,if you are not a computer literate ,it is time you start one now during your Youth service..... Those who are shy,it is time to let it go and start meeting people by getting involved in either church actives or mosque activities even in the environment where one resides.
I think it is high time we start thinking now than later
