The same situation applies to the swearing-in of the two new Ministers-designate who had long been screened by the Senate. Fielding questions from State House correspondents at the Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said that the decision on who signs the Appropriation Bill into law would be decided when the document is finally transmitted to the Presidency. “When it is transmitted to the Presidency, that decision will be taken‎”, he said. He however said that an advanced copy of the budget has been received by the Minister of Budget and National Planning. It will be recalled that President Buhari left the country on March 7 to attend to his health in London.

That is not denial.Read d so called rejoinder.
The first report which he reiterated in Daily Independent denial is that d question of who will sign d budget can only be determined wen it's sent to the presidency.
Is that anyway different from saying no one knows who will sign d budget yet.
If Lai wasn't trying to showcase his progressively growing foo lishness he wud av said: 'as soon as it's received,if Buhari is still on holiday,of course Osinbajo wud b d one to sign d budget'.

What exactly does lai mean by a decision would be taken on who to sign the budget? I thought that was a given since they insist that osinbajo AUTOMATICALLY transmits into the acting president once a letter has been sent to both houses by the president explaining his not being available.

So the ACTING PRESIDENT cannot sign the budget?

Who and who will then make the decision to sign it and who and who would be eligible to sign it, especially if its not the ACTING PRESIDENT.

Those of us that were suspicious about the wordings of the last letter informing the houses of the presidents absence knew what we were saying when the word CO-ORDINATOR was used to deliberately wittle down the powers of the supposed ACTING PRESIDENT.
