Some UTME candidates were shocked to allegedly wake up to a strange text message on their phone.

According to reports, JAMB sent out series of text messages to some defaulters alerting them that 100 marks were deducted from their total marks because they were caught on CCTV Cheating. People are actually wondering if they can actually do that or it’s just a lie.



The message read “Dear Candidate CCTV Camera Indicate That You Were Involved In Malpractice JAMB Deducted 100 marks from your score thank you.”

instead of deducting 100 why not sieze the entire result, what if he scored 400 using cheats? In my undergraduate days, if you are caught cheating, u will be forced to wear the kain ceremonial gown wey dino melaye wear to NASS.

this generation is even lucky, when i wrote jamb back then i took the long detached slip to ojora road, ikoyi, queue for like 8hrs and my score was written with a red pen on that slip after like 6-7 months i took JAMB

Only 100 marks deducted? That's fair enough.
In Norway, that exam will be cancelled for you and you'll be suspended. Upon investigation by the legal committee, expulsion straight! I doubt if any school will want to admit you afterwards. That's how big a crime exam malpractice is in the country, same as plagiarism.

I can see how we're so used to dishonest means of achieving success, hence people are screaming "why will they deduct a whole 100 marks?"
How won't the rest of the world write online reports describing Nigerians as wayo people? Na small small exam wayo e dey start from.
