Hmm u re a strong mama oh, I can't breastfeed more than 15-20mins. And before I start breastfeeding, I always grab a bottle of water and my phone cos I always feel so thirsty with the thought of breastfeeding and my phone keeps me going especially when I am not in front of the TV.
Mine is usually 30-45 mins at a time but today was different, don't know why.

Please don't leave your baby alone with a housemaid. A creche (preferably a standard one - not someone's parlour) is better

Dnt even like maids...its just one of my friend trying to convince me that I cn get a trustworthy maid...lol...

Ahnie, is he exclusively breastfed or formulae fed? Pending when you answer, you could slightly press d tummy with warm water or move his lower limbs gently in bicycle fashion and get ready for plenty poop grin

Maids are good for keep in terms of taking care of domestic chores, but to get a maid for the purpose of staying with your baby, I will say a big NO, pls take your baby to a nice creche.

The LOL after your comment connotes you do not believe one can get a trustworthy maid.

... I count myself as the very blessed few who can confidently say I have a good nanny. People that see the way she treats my boy usually think she is my younger sister. I am blessed indeed.

I agree with you too. You can get a good and trustworthy maid. But since you dont believe your friend,it's best to stick with a creche.

When i had my son and was abt resuming, i weighed the options of a creche and it didnt favour me as i cudnt meet up with the closing time and my hubby wasnt disposed to the idea of a child staying out late till 8pm in a creche.

We prayed seriuosly abt it and i always anointed my son every morning and even put the nanny in our prayers every morning even up till now and believe me , we havent had any issue even though the first one left because she needed to sort out family issues.

Now, we have a second nanny since september last year and i dont have any issues whatsoever, infact my son calls him ma-a-ma and loves strolling with her every day and she takes good care of him.

My only fear is that she is on the elderly side so i tell her to take things a bit easy with chores.

We (Hubby and I) always put her in our prayers every morning for God to fill her with good thoughts towards our son.

based on my own experience on exclusive I would advise pumping into bottle for babies too, so when they start rejecting food, they can at least take pureed food and liquids from bottle. like my son would finish 210ml of semo in bottle but not more than 10 spoons. its a gradual process.

pls at Wat age did ur Child start taking liquid semo

my dear you can but they are very scarce, and it's best not to test them with an infant. I have a good maid right now but she just cleans and helps with errands. I don't think she's capable of handling LO all day alone. If you have your Mum or MIL close by and they are willing to take your baby while you are at work, then you can get a maid to support them with errands during the day so they aren't too stressed, otherwise, just do creche

I love this !!! This is the whole essence of vaccination. My son took the 1st dose of chickenpox vaccine bt ws not old enough for the next dose when he broke out in chicken pox. But you know what, it was mild ! he does not ev

well I think if one can take proper hygienic measure is not compulsory if you are not capable. All my two sisters children never took rotavirus vaccine and sincerely no diarrhea nor even teething associated diarrhea. my 7 months plus baby has two teeth now and we have never had diarrhea issue nor fever for once and we never take rota. It depends on individual.

Good afternoon mamas in the house.
please I need a candid advise on this issue of mine.

two months after delivery I had this severe pain on my left wrist tendon. it was so painful that to Carry my ds was a problem. I googled it and the condition was de quervain. I and hubby tried so many things like cold compression, hot compression, use of analgesic cream n drug. my hubby is a physiotherapist. but none work. I went to visit an orthopedic surgeon and he advised I took steroid injection around December which knocked out the pain since then. he told me like wise Google that it might go completely or resurface.

And that if it resurface they will have to incisce it to release the sheat causing it.

now it is back with full force even with pepperish pain sensation.
went to see another orthopedic consultant and said d best thing is to incise it.

but my problem now is hubby is saying what is wrong with me that I want to incise dat is d pain not bearable. And I know say not because of anything just dat his profession and orthopedic na cat n dog.

me I want to go for the incision and forget about the pain but am confused and am in serious pain...

please advise a confused mum: zaynie, feddy, jayamama, jazzyjazz,, ahnie, all sabi mamas

and if anyone has had dis condition before..

Chychy4us, remember you had your other kids 9 and 6yrs ago! A lot has changed within that time and now. Too many things in the environment these days. Pls give our baby of the house the vaccine smiley

To add to this, one of the requirements of some child care centers is a record of ur childs vaccination to check if up to date. The vaccines are there for a reason, i also deem it important

My Sil's daughter was a professional tip toer.
She walked at 15 months.

I don't think the tip toing contributes to delay in walking.
My lo didn't tip toe and also walked at 15 months.
