Hello my "phoney" friends. I would like to share the experience i had while using my newly bought Tecno W1. I bought mine 2weeks ago and to may oter amazement i regretted buying it,not because it was cheap but because it what they tag an Android 7.0 or whatever!!! I discovered that when i switch off the phone and put it on again all the social apps like Facebook Whatsapp etc becomes immediatly downgraded. Secondly i discovered that my contact has been messed up, you wanna call Mr. A you end up calling Mr. D you don't wanna call . Uc browser doesn't really work normall on this phone, as a matter of fact i am a tecno fan, me posting this is not in any to tarnish the image of this Xcompany but to create awareness, moreover I've used Y2 then up to W2 and L8 now W1 is frustrating me pls read before you buy. Merci!!

Hi @Exectine Visit the Carlcare Service Service closest to you for a Software Update. The issue will be resolved.

I called my doctor only for my gas supplier answering the call, in fact I have reset them to factory default and still have same issues, Tecno fall my hand. This is the worst thing to have a phone do, mixing contracts like soup ingredients and condiment.. Too bad, and Tecno seems not to have any solution or suggestions sad!

internal memory.

As if that would be of any help shaaa!!!.....i have not forgotten my experience with Tecno Y2, all this low budget phones are just whack!!!. Am now believing Tecno voluntarily made this low budget phones faulty just to force buyers go for the more expensive ones, if not y would our much loved tecno y2 just go-off by it self and wouldn't come on again Tecno and company are really playing games with Africans.

Generally @Exectine an Update improves a device's performance. Check for one or Visit Carlcare Service Centre.

Tecno W1? Ah! That's a bit outdated.
Am not surprised that it's misbehaving. first it have low memory space which is not efficient for regular Facebook app, Messenger and other bigger apps. I advice you to use the lite versions of the apps. Tecno W1 has low specs with low storage and RAM so limit the number of apps installed. Else it will be hanging and misbehaving.

He must have had issues with many bugs as a result of missing updates.
He has now received updates and is enjoying his device.

Tecno pushed an OTA system update for the W1 that i bought, have you tried updating yours?

There is an update for the W1. Have you done it? Or better still take it to the nearest Carlcare
