@Lifestone I was merely making something I observed keenly over the course of my study of Nigerian history known... I wasn't trying to justify military incursion into politics. Am I clear sir? |

gocac:How can democracy help those who are not helping democracy? Did you or anyone you know donate money to any candidate for local government, state or federal legislative or executive elections? Do you even know who your Councillor, state lawmaker, senator and representative are, talk less of writing a petition to them on issues? Is that how people of the US, Canada, Britain etc behave so that they have functioning societies to attract us to even die there like that Ekiti actress and then spend extra money to repatriate their corpses? Look before you leap. Think before you talk. |

Ngokafor:Moi? Not me. I'm not a bigot. But I won't fold my arms and watch your people spit on my ethnic group. We've been through this discussion before right? What's the point of hating someone whose region you can't keep out from. FYI I meet a lot of you offline too in Naija, sw to be precise, and I know this hatred online spills to real life for you guys. If Yorubas hate you in real life trust me you'd be given even worse than the Ife treatment. We are indifferent really. But yours is active hatred. If truly you're a woman, it is very unbecoming and unladylike of you. But then, it's your choice. We all have to live with the consequences of our choices. |

ElsonMorali:..lf i am a woman??..kindly refrain from insulting me Mr or i will return the favour..If you feel the need to defend your tribe, why shouldnt i or anyone else for that matter.Does me being a lady remove the fact that i have blood running in my veins??..When you make tribalistic comments, you call it 'defending',when others do its 'hatred'.. ...Yorubas are not more accommidating than anyone else..I live and work in PH..and i make bold to say that Igbos and Yorubas are every where here unmolested and undisturbed as well..I boarded a taxi in Enugu the last time i was there and the cab guy was a from your place..Ironically i have personally encountered tribalistic folks from your region here in PH sef, aside that dont even get me strarted on my experience growing up in Lagos when it was even still the capital of Nigeria..but thats life...There is good and bad in everyone and regions. |

| Re: Retired Generals Warn Military To Stay Out Of Politics by logica(m): 11:12am On May 20, 2017 |
seguno2:...and you think after settling out of court, he would be able to visit the US afterwards? You think you can settle a drug charge out of court if they have evidence? You think you can be implicated on drug charge, settle out of court and still visit the US? You think you can still retain your Green Card after being sullied by a drug charge? |
| Re: Retired Generals Warn Military To Stay Out Of Politics by seguno2: 11:26am On May 20, 2017 |
logica:Yes oh to all your questions. The $460,000 was negotiated by his lawyers to avoid future repercussions such as you have listed. seguno2:Guy, there is no education here; these are the same materials which have been online for quite a while now. My point here is, if there was actual direct link of Tinubu to those heroine deals he would not only forfeit the money he would have gone to jail and lost his Green Card. If you did some work for a criminal and he paid you and he's caught, the proceeds of the crime with which he paid you can be traced to you and you will forfeit the money; but you are not guilty of that actual crime. That is my point. |
